Stamp Something...Holiday Somethings

Hello again, this is my second post for today, aren't I doing well!? Well this time it's to let you all know that there's a new challenge over at Stamp Something, and the theme is "Holiday Somethings". This will be my very last card as part of the Stamp Something Design Team so I'd like to say thanks to all the girls for giving me the opportunity to work with them on some fab projects! This challenge will run for 2 weeks, and the new DT take over in January, good luck to all the new DT members. So here's my DT nativity card...

I've gone fairly minimalist with the embellies, just a little lace on the bottom for detail. The image is one the DT were kindly supplied with from M&M Designz. I don't do many religious cards, but I really like this one. The image is a digi stamp, coloured with Promarkers. I'm entering my card for the Winter Wonderland challenge, which fits perfectly as it's "Nativity".

Our sponsor this week is Digital Ink Co and they're giving away a fab prize to one lucky random winner. Don't forget there's also the Top 5 places, so why not have a go, especially if you've last minute cards to do! Check out the rest of the DT cards for more inspiration. Happy Holidays!

Winter Wonderland Somethings

Hello! Well only TWO WEEKS to go now until the big day! Hope you're all organised, unlike me! I've still got cards to do! I have to admit I did buy some as it's going to be impossible to do enough in time!

Anyway, as it's Friday then it's time for another Stamp Something challenge, and in keeping with the festive season the theme this week is "Winter Wonderland". Here's what I came up with for my DT card...

All the DT received some digi images from our sponsor this week "In Style Stamps", and I just love this little lady! She's called Sandy and is just one of the many digi stamps available. I've coloured her with Promarkers (hot pink) then cut her out. The background paper was created using a snowflake stamp/heat embossing, and the sentiment stamp is from Artemio.

If you can created a card which will fit the theme (easy peasy) then have a go as you could win some digi stamps from our super sponsor! Also check out the other DT cards, they're all gorgeous!

My card also fits this week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp which is "Let it Snow".

Well, off to decorate my tree, I've got a tiny real one this year!

Glitzy Somethings

Good Evening All! Firstly, apologies for not having been around for the past week, I spent a few days back in the UK and then since I got back have been flat out at work! I hope my crafting activity will resume over the weekend cos I really need to get more Christmas cards made! And I promise to be a better blogger next week!

Ok, it's Friday so another chance for you all to take part in the Stamp Something Challenge! This week we'd like to see your Glitzy Somethings, so it's time to lay on the glitter, gems and anything else that sparkles! You can make a Christmas card, winter card or New Year's card, so long as you use bling! For my DT card I've done an easel card and have used lots of glitter (although it's not easily visible on the photo)...

This week we're sponsored by Paper Maniac who have generously donated a fabby prize to this week's winner, check out the Stamp Something blog for more info and to see the other DT creations!

I've gone for a girly look this week, with lilac and pink, so this fits in with this week's challenge over at Cute Card Thursday which is to create a girly card!

Finally, Happy Birthday to my gorgeous and lovely mam, 60 years young today!

Thanks for popping by my blog today, hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Joe to win X Factor!!!

Thank You Somethings

Well, it's Friday again, can you believe how quickly the weeks are passing by! So, it's time for Stamp Something to give you a new challenge. This Thursday is Thanksgiving in the US, so we'd love to see "thank you" projects this week! They can be Thanksgiving themed, Christmas thank yous or just a little something to remind someone that they are appreciated. This challenge will run for TWO weeks.

We're lucky to have two sponsors for this challenge, Elizabeth from Soft Pencil and Jenni from Card Mad Fairy, who have both supplied digi images to the DT to have a play with. Here are my two cards...

This is my chosen image from Soft Pencil called "Sleeping and Dreaming", isn't it cute? I've used the sketch over at Sketch Saturday, and have added some glitter to the tree and gems as the theme at Basic Grey Challenges is Glitz & Bling. The paper circles are from Basic Grey Cupcake paper pack. The sentiment was done on the PC.

My second card is more of a girly card, I've used this lovely fairy digi image from Card Mad Fairy, she's called "Sweetheart Fairy". The papers are My Minds Eye - Wild Asparagus, flower is from Flora Doodles and the tassle was one I had in my stash. Again I created the sentiment on the PC.

Ok, there you have it, so now all you have to do is pop over to the Stamp Something blog and check out the other DT cards, they're sure to inspire you!

Sketch Something

Hi! This week at Stamp Something we have a sketch challenge for you to follow. Our Guest Designer Ann has kindly created this fabby sketch for us...

So here's my DT card using the sketch, which I flipped on it's side to accomodate my turkey image...

This week our sponsor is Alison from Stretch n Bubbles, who has kindly donated 4 digi stamps of your choice to one lucky winner! I have used one of Alison's digi stamps for my card, Zeke the Turkey, which I shall send to my friend for Thanksgiving.

To be in with a chance to win you must follow Ann's sketch, so pop over to the Stamp Something blog to check out the other DT creations and for more info on this challenge!

Stamp Something Recipe For Love And More Mo's Digital Pencil

Good Morning All! Firstly, sorry I haven't been around much this week, I've not had much time to craft or blog :( Hopefully I will have more time over the weekend to do a few cards and get round a few blogs so my friends don't think I'm neglecting them!

Today I have two cards to show you, both using two very different images from Mo's Digital Pencil, who happens to be our fabulous sponsor this week over at Stamp Something. My first card is my DT card for the Stamp Something challenge, a recipe for you this week that we're calling Recipe For Love in honour of Jaimie (see earlier post). Don't forget the blog hop for Jaimie is still live until Monday 9th November. Check out the "Stamp Something ... Spread the love for Jaimie" blog by clicking the link in my sidebar. So here's my card with the recipe, 1 ribbon, 2 papers and 3 embellishments...

My Recipe:
Image - Winter Delivery from Mo's Digital Pencil coloured with Promarkers
Ribbon - Well it's lace actually from my stash
Papers - Dovecraft Victorian Christmas (last year)
Embellies - Flowers from Flora Doodles and Prima
Sketch is from Cupcake Craft Challenges this week, isn't it fab?!

I'm entering this card in Mo's Digital Challenge as you have to add three sparkly elements to your card, I think this qualifies!

Hop over to the Stamp Something blog to see all the other fabulous DT cards, and to check out this week's fab prize from Mo's Digital Pencil!

My second card for today is also one I did with an image from Mo's Digital Pencil. I used the sketch from Cupcake Craft Challenges again, and also the theme this week from Stampin For The Weekend " Back to the 80's with a twist". You have to use the colours Purple, Orange and Blue and choose a song title from one of three choices, I chose Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"...

Thanks for popping by today, have a lovely weekend!

Cute & Fuzzy Somethings

Good Afternoon! Isn't it great, it's almost the weekend and I'm so pleased as I have 3 whole days off work YIPEE!!! That means that I'll definately have some time to craft, I can't wait as I got some new rubber yesterday but more of that later.

It's Friday so it's Stamp Something Challenge time, and this week we'd like to see you create some Cute & Fuzzy Somethings, here's mine...

I just love this little Beatrix Potter image, so cute! I've coloured with Promarkers and used a fine liner to add details to the kitty's fur. The papers are My Mind's Eye "Bloom and Grow", the sentiment stamp is from Penny Black and the ribbon is Artemio. I've added some extra detail with my Sissix corner die and Prima flowers. I've used a fab sketch from this week's Cupcake Challenge, so will enter my card for this, and the theme over at Passion For Promarkers is Animals, plus you can use any colours for the challenge, so another challenge for me to enter!

This week we are sponsored by a digi company called Ildi Co, who do some really cute Teddy images, clowns and some funky robots too! Just click on the link to take you to their site!

Pop over to Stamp Something to check out the other DT cards, and get more information on the challenge and this week's prize. Don't forget we'll also be choosing out favourite Top 5 projects!

Something a little Spooky...

Hello and a Happy Friday to you all! With only a week now until Halloween, the theme over at Stamp Something is Something for Halloween, so here's the DT cards I've done...

This week's sponsor is Cute Daisy May, so the Design Team were given these cute digital images to work with for this challenge. I just love the first image with the little cat, he reminds me so much of my little cat Réglisse (he's black). I've coloured the images with Promarkers, papers are from The Creative Cottage (first card) and are free to download this month, as are both sentiments. The papers on the second card are Dovecraft "Wild Blossom", which were kindly sent to me from my friend Denise (thanks a lot hun). Rest is from my stash.

Well, unfortunately the French don't celebrate Halloween as much as in the UK (or the US), but I shall buy some sweeties just in case any little ones pop by! If it's like last year I'll end up eating the sweeties myself!

There's a lovely prize on offer this week to one random winner, so get crafting your spooky creations to be in with a chance to win!

I also have a little request for anyone out there who has a card to spare. This month is Spina Bifida Awareness Month, and my fellow DT member Giovana has put a request on her blog for all us crafties to send a card to a little girl called Rebekah, who is 7 and has Spina Bifida. Here is a link to the post if anyone would care to send a card to Bekah, thanks so much for your support!

Bling It Somethings...

Hello! Oh, I've had such a busy week this week, I seem to be getting a few things done so my efforts aren't all to no avail! Unfortunately the crafting has had to take a back seat this week, so I've had nothing to share with you all! But alas, today is Friday and time for another Stamp Something challenge, and this week we'd like to see your Bling It Somethings, here's my DT card...

I have to say I enjoyed this one, and have rather gone to town on the bling! But as it's a Christmas card, then I think it's not too OTT! I just love bling at Christmas!

The image is Penny Black "tis the season", coloured with Promarkers. The paper I did myself by using a snowflake stamp and silver tinsel embossing powder (it's AGES since I did any heat embossing), and I have to admit I really like it! I've made the little snowflake embellies using punches and gems, the ribbon/tinsel is Papermania and the sentiment is from an old See D's set. For that extra bling factor, I've added lots of glitter glue! Et voila!

This week, the challenge is again sponsored by iCopic, so don't miss out on a chance to win a fabby prize! Get over to the Stamp Something blog to see all the DT cards, and then get blinging!!!

As for me, I'm off for a little trip to good old Blighty this weekend, can't wait! I shall be snooping around the Kent area, trying to get a bit of Xmas shopping done (I know I'm early but it makes a change for me). Of course I'll have to sniff out a craft shop whilst in the UK, I have to feed the habit lol!

Brown Somethings

Hi, can you believe that's another week almost over AGAIN!? Well it's Friday and another chance to take part in a new Stamp Something Challenge, this week the theme is "Brown Somethings" although you can use other colours too. Here's my DT card...

I just love this image, although I really don't use it enough. It's from Sugar Nellie, not a new one, but one of my faves all the same. The sentiment stamp is from Cuddly Buddly and I've used MME Wild Asparagus paper, I just love this pack! I shall have to treat myself to some more MME papers, the Bloom and Grow one is next on my ever growing craft list.

This week our generous sponsor is iCopic, who are donating a set of 12 Copic Ciao markers to the winner! So why not pop over to the Stamp Something blog to find out more! You'll also be in for a treat when you see the other lovely DT cards!

As I've coloured the card with my luurvly Promarkers, I'm entering this card for the Passion For Promarkers challenge, a "Recipe - 3 Shapes (not including card shape), 2 papers and 1 ribbon". It also fits for this week's Cute Card Thursday Challenge, So Charming, where you have to use a charm on your card. I just love these little horse charms from The Hobby House.

Thanks for popping by, hope you can join in with the challenge!

Stamp Something Apple/Teacher

Hello! Well there's another week almost over, and as it's Friday it's time for another Stamp Something challenge. This week we'd like you to create a school themed card or project, here's my DT card...

I've used Edwin, who is studiously doing his maths homework with an extra large pencil! The papers are Basic Grey, and the sentiment is one that was kindly sent to me by Lyndsey (one of her own). I've also added ribbon, cap charm and star buttons (lots of stars as I'm sure he's going to get 10/10 for his homework lol).

This week the challenge is sponsored by My Creative Classroom. Why not pop over and check out all the other DT cards etc, so you can get cracking with your homework of doing a project or card this week!

Stamp Something Favourites

Good afternoon to all my blogging friends, it's Friday again and time for another Stamp Something challenge. September's theme is "Favourites", and this week we'd like to see you using your favourite colours or paper. As I'm really not organised for Christmas (just a slight understatement there) I've chosen to do a festive card, using my favourite Christmas colours red and green...

The stamp is one I got for my Birthday, don't you think this little FF bear is just so cute! I think I'll be using him a few times for my cards this year!

What I used:

Stamp: Forever Friends (Design Objectives/Hallmark)
Pens: Promarkers (Poppy, Forest, Moss, Cinnamon, Sandstone, Cool Grey 1, Blender)
Paper: Victorian Christmas (Dovecraft 2008)
Cardstock: Bazzil
Embellishments: Card Candy (Craftwork Cards), ribbon from stash

Don't Forget to check out the other DT cards, they're sure to give you some inspiration. Why not hop over to the Stamp Something blog and have a go, it's another easy peasy challenge! This week's sponsor is Doodle Palace, who will be giving away some super candy to one lucky winner!

Favourite Embellishments

OK, firstly I'll apologise for the lateness of this post today but I have a good reason, it's MY BIRTHDAY, so I've just gotten in the house after having a lovely day out with my hubby!

Now as you all know, Friday is Stamp Something Challenge day, and this week we want to see you favourite embellishments! I have to say it was really hard for me to choose a favourite as I love flowers, charms, pearls, gems...but the two I probably use the most are buttons and ribbon...

The cute crafter image and sentiment I have used comes from my brand new Elzybells Stamp & Scrap set, I think she's just fab! I bet there's a lot of crafters out there who can relate to her, I know I can! I've coloured her with Promarkers, the paper is Pebbles Inc, ribbon is from Hobbycraft, and the buttons from my stash. You can never have too many ribbons or buttons!

The prize this week is from Quixotic Paperie, Elaine has generously offered 100 charms (and they look fab) to one lucky winner! Wow, how could you miss out on that?! Why not check out the Stamp Something blog for inspiration from the other DT cards?

Thanks for dropping by!

Favourite Somethings - Sets or Stamps

Good Afternoon Everyone! As it's Friday there's another new Stamp Something Challenge to get you teeth into, this week you have to use your favourite stamps or sets...

I've used a Penny Black stamp, these are probably my fave stamps but I love so many I couldn't really choose a favouite. However, I have a soft spot for kitties so I went with this little angel kitty. I've also used my circle Nestabilities as these are my absolute favourite Nesties (of the ones I have). The little kitty is coloured with Pro Markers, the paper is from Doodlebug and I've used Gemstones cardstock embossed with the Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder. I've added some glitter to his wings and the snowflake embellishments I made just to give it all a bit of bling. Sorry the photo isn't great, I'm stuggling with the camera I'm using at the mo.

We have a small request this week for this challenge, we would be grateful if you could send a card to a little girl called Paige who has been injured in an accident and has lost part of her arm. If you would like more info you can find it HERE on Erin's blog.

Pop over to the Stamp Something blog to see more about the challenge and take a look at the other DT cards! This week's sponsor is Christian Paper Crafts and there's a set of Nesties on offer for the winner of this challenge! I'm also gonna enter this card into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge as this week the theme is "Christmas"! Thanks for popping by!

Animal Somethings

Hello bloggers! I've scheduled this post as I'm back at work today so won't get a chance to post this otherwise. The challenge this week over at Stamp Something is "Animal Somethings", and we're lucky enough to be sponsored by Digital Delights by Louby Loo who do a range of cute, affordable digital stamps. I've made my DT card with some of the new "Down on the Farm" digi stamps, I think they'll make perfect Birthday cards for little ones, although I thought of this after I'd stuck my sentiment down...

The images were coloured with Pro Markers then cut out and mounted onto my card with 3D foam to give a bit of dimension, this little cutie is called Hallie the Horse. I just had to add her little barn etc too!

All you have to do is make a card or other craft project and include animals on it, "Simples" as the Meerkats would say! Check out the Stamp Something blog to see all the other cute DT projects, and to see the lovely prize on offer this week!

Birthday Somethings!

Firstly, thanks for all your lovely comments about my cheesecake, sorry it's all been eaten. The recipe was from the Somerfield Magazine (August) if anyone is interested. Ok, back to the cards. It's almost the weekend so time for this week's Stamp Something Challenge which is "Birthday Somethings", easy peasy!!! I did my card last week as it was my O/H's Birthday, so an excuse to make a card (like I need an excuse)...

I've used a Penny Black image that was kindly sent to me by a friend, coloured with Pro Markers. I have to say I'm enjoying using my Pro Markers, and for someone who struggled when I got my first few, I finding them hard to put down now! My poor Distress Inks will need a dust soon lol! The paper I used is Basic Grey Cupcake, not their newest pad but I like it! The little sentiment is a stamp from Cuddly Buddly.

There's a prize on offer for the challenge, so why not have a go, I'm sure you'll be able to put your card to good use afterwards! Pop over to the Stamp Something blog to check out all the DT creations. Looking forward to seeing your Birthday themed projects!

Vacation (Holiday to us Brits) Somethings

Another week gone, I can't believe we're almost halfway through August already! Friday of course is the Stamp Something Challenge and this week the theme is "Vacation Somethings". Self explanitory really, you have to create something with a holiday theme...

I wasn't sure what to do at first, but then I remembered this paper I had from K & Co which went perfectly with the little camping themed stamps. So basically I used the paper as a backgroud, then I stamped the images individually and cut them out. I layered them together using 3D foam pads to create a little scene. The little compass was stamped onto shrink plastic and heated to make it in proportion, I think it's kinda cute! And as I'm very into charms at the minute, so I thought I'd add one of those too!

Pop over to the Stamp Something blog to see all the other DT creations, and to check out the fab prize on offer. 3 sets of clear stamps to the lucky winner!

Charmed Somethings

Hi everyone! Well it's Friday again and time for another Stamp Something challenge! This week you need to add a charm to your card (easy peasy) so here's my DT card...

We have a new sponsor this week, Quixotic Paperie, a new online craft shop based in the UK. They are kindly offering a £10 Gift Voucher to one lucky winner, so what are you waiting for, you can even combine the challenge as long as your creation is NEW. I hope you can join in with us at Stamp Something, looking forward to seeing your charming cards (sorry, I couldn't help it).

On another note, I know I haven't been around much recently, and I haven't done any blog hopping as I had no access to the internet whilst away, but I've just returned home so hopefully I'll have time to do a bit crafting over the weekend, and also visit a few blogs. Once I clear the way to my craftroom through the piles of holiday washing etc!!!

Paper Pieced Somethings

Hi! I have to say it's just great being on holiday, although I do miss having my laptop at hand, but then again aren't holidays for relaxing? I've just been to Cyprus, which was fab but VERY hot! I have some pics to share with you when I get back, as I'm currently visiting family in the UK. Anyway, it's difficult for me to get access to the internet at the moment, so here's just a very quick post to let you know about this week's Stamp Something challenge.

The challenge is "Paper Pieced Somethings" and is sponsored this week by Whiff of Joy, who do the most beautiful stamps. Here is my DT card ...

You have to create something using paper piecing, a technique that I just love. If you're not familiar with the technique, check out the Stamp Something blog for more details and to view all the other DT cards! I've used one of my Gorjuss Girls stamps and have paper pieced her dress and tights using Basic Grey paper. I hope you can play along with us this week, I'm sure you'll enjoy paper piecing and you could win a fab prize from the fantastic Whiff of Joy range!
