Dotty 4 Cupcakes!

My post for today's Cupcake Craft Challenge is underneath this post.

Ok, I've gone all dotty today with my Lili of the Valley stamps... here's a little card I made inspired by the challenge at LOTV 'Lets go dotty for circles'...

The image is coloured with Promarkers, papers are MME Wild Asparagus, flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts (the leaves were just cut from green paper), ribbon is Papermania and sentiment is Cuddly Buddly. I just love these little cuties... who doesn't?

Well, now I did say I was dotty for cupcakes, and that's because I made another batch today. This time I did banana cupcakes with peanut butter cream frosting... I tried one just to make sure they weren't off before I gave them to anyone else ;) The peanut butter is tasty but subtle and the banana makes the cakes really moist. If anyone wants the recipe I'll have to type it up cos I sort of improvised! Well, here's a piccy of one of the cakes...

Ok, off to get the kettle on and watch a bit of telly! Have a lovely evening!

Cupcake Craft Challenge 106 Let's Get Digital!

Good morning peeps! Firstly, for those in the UK... hope you enjoy the Bank Holiday (I am soooo jealous)! Secondly, thank you to everyone who joined in my chosen challenge theme last week at Cupcake Craft Challenge... wow you're such a talented bunch... I had real trouble picking my Top 5!!! Pop over to Cupcake to see if you've won a prize, don't forget to check the Cupcake Lovers Candy prize too!

Now, onto this week's challenge which has been chosen by our Victoria Jelly, who wants us all to 'Get Digital'! So that means digi images, sentiments, papers, embellishments... I have only managed the image as my printer was spluttering (urm maybe it was telling me it needed ink?). Anyway, here's my DT card...

The image is another Heather Ellis one (Pure Innocence range), I'm so glad I found these! I've coloured her with my Promarkers. I've used Basic Grey paper, so I will enter the Basic Grey Challenge who want to see fabric on your cards (my fabric is the white cotton in the middle of the card... I cut up my hubby's shirt... oops don't tell him!). I've also followed the recipe challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar (3 flowers, 2 buttons, 1 ribbon).

We've got some more yummy prizes this week from our lovely sponsors, so why not have a go at the challenge this week? The girls at Cupcake have come up trumps again with some gorgeous cards to help inspire you, why not pop by and say hi, we really do appreciate all your comments!

Well, that's enough from me, that's for your visit today, enjoy your day!

Little Cutie

Evening peeps! Just a quick hello tonight as Aunty Gok is on! Anyway, I got this little digi stamp today from Heather Ellis... isn't she a cutie!? And a real bargain, just 50p! WOW! I had to do a card with her, so have done one using the sketch at Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog (they're sponsored this week by Heather Ellis - that's where I saw her digis). She's coloured with Promarkers but the colours on the piccy are naff as I took it under artificial light. The papers are lovely and are from The Creative Cottage! I'm also entering my card in the Flutter by Wednesday challenge which is an open theme this week. Well, off to see me Aunty Gok now! Thanks for popping by!

A Christening Wish

I got this lovely stamp from Lili of the Valley and hadn't used it yet, but my friend asked me to do a Christening card so I thought I'd put it to good use! I've used Bev's sketch at LOTV Challenge, it fitted so well with the elements I used on the card. I've used kraft paper and the blue is Stampin Up. 'Noah' is coloured with Promarkers. Tell you what though, what a pain to stick the blue bow down, I used PVA glue but it tends to soak into the ribbon... it stuck eventually after using half a litre of glue (well a bit of an exaggeration there) mostly on my fingers... I didn't use silicone glue as I find it comes through the ribbon and leaves 'greasy' marks. Any handy hints?

Cupcake Craft Challenge 105... Blue & Green

Good morning peeps! Last week at Cupcake we celebrated our 2nd Birthday... there were some stunning creations from you, thanks for participating! Don't forget to check on the Cupcake blog to see if you've won one of the fab prizes! And if you're wondering who won my little blog candy, please check out the post below!

Ok, this week at Cupcake it was my turn to chose the challenge theme... I've gone with a colour combo, and I've chosen BLUE & GREEN... I just love these colours! So much so that I've made TWO DT cards for the challenge, here they are...

The 1st card is of course the lovely Tilda from Magnolia... it's been ages since I did a 'Tilda' card! I've used my distress inks around the edge of the background paper... I can't tell you how green my fingers were (not the gardening type lol)! I'm entering this into the Fab n Funky 'Flower Power' challenge and as it's mainly blue I'm entering it for the ABC Challenge, Passion For Promarkers Challenge where you have to use BLUE and the Just Magnolia Challenge 'Let's Get Sentimental'... to use a sentiment on your card. My second card is using this little digi frog from Pollycraft... isn't he just so so cute!? He's a french frog, but you knew that as he has a blue & white stripy jumper lol! I'm entering him into the Stamp Something Digi Day Challenge & Totally Papercrafts 'Summer Fun' challenge. The sentiments that I've used on both of my cards are from our weekly sponsor this week, The Cutting Café, the DT were kindly given these sets to use on our cards. If you join in with our challenge you too could win some fab prizes from The Cutting Café, and from Crafts U Love who are our monthly sponsor!

Now as if that's not enough, we also have a 1000 Followers Candy over at Cupcake up for grabs... and we're not far off that target so check out the candy details HERE! Good Luck!

Distressed Kitty

Evening Peeps! Oh, don't worry about the distressed kitty, it's not a real one! The nearest my cat is to being distressed is from the noise of the heatgun... he's flaked out in my craftroom on HIS sofa! Talk about easy life!

Just wanted to share this little card with you... and nope it's not done with Promarkers! Yup, I've resisted THE pens and have tried my hand with Distress Inks (seeing as I had some new colours I'd never used)... it's been ages since I've used inks to colour! The stamp is a Sarah Kay from Stampavie, just so so cute! I've used Bev's lovely sketch from the Stampavie challenge. The little kitty is a hommage to my cat Réglisse... not easy to colour a black cat! I've used paper from my Basic Grey 'Sugared' pack, it fits with the distressed feel. The challenge over at Basic Grey Challenges is to use pearls on your card, so I'm entering mine.

Have a lovely evening, thanks for popping by!

The Creative Cottage Challenge #21

Phew... finally got rid of that 'fairy dust'... thought I'd better as the cat was going around with 'cobweb' headphones on! Well, after that cleaning session I thought I merited a little 'me' time! So here I am... and not before time as there's a new challenge at The Creative Cottage... CHRISTMAS! Here's my DT card for the challenge, I have to admit though I'm struggling with Christmas cards, just can't get into it...

I've kept it fairly simple, using a plain white card with deckle edge. The cute trees are from The Creative Cottage Robbie & Roxanne digi kit... aren't they adorable?! All I did was mat and layer, added the sentiment and the little bow and voila! I'm entering this card in the Christmas In August challenge at A Spoon Full Of Sugar. Well, that's kinda the extent of my festive inspiration at the minute! Pop over to the Challenge Blog to see all the cards from the other DT girls... they've done some fab 'uns! And if you have a go at this fortnight's challenge you could win a super prize from The Creative Cottage, two (yep not one but TWO) kits from The Creative Cottage! What are you waiting for? Oh and why not pop over to check out The Creative Cottage products at Pollycraft, there's a fab special offer on the Christmas Wishes kit! Toodle Pip!

Precious Purple & Fairy Dust

It's been a little while since I've used my Wags n Whiskers stamps so thought it was high time I dusted them off and got stamping (I'd forgotten just how cute these were)! Did you know Wags n Whiskers have a new release coming out this week? The details are on my sidebar. So here's my offering for this week's Wags n Whiskers challenge 'Triple Play' where you have to use 3 of something... I've used 3 pearls and 3 flowers. I haven't used any DP, just my Cuttlebug Swirls Embossing Folder on the bottom of the card. The sentiment is also embossed on the Cuttlebug.

Ok, now the dreaded dusting beckons (amongst other things)... could I get away with calling it fairy dust? In that case my house is completely enchanted!

My First Ever Cupcakes!

As it's Cupcake Craft Challenges 2nd Birthday today I thought I'd share these piccys with you... my very first attempt at making CUPCAKES! Well, it was hubby's Birthday at the weekend so I made a batch of these yummy cakes for him (well not just for him but for me too)... and even if I do say so myself they were rather scrumptious! Here's a closer look...

If you're interested here's a link to the recipe I used, I just changed the decoration on the top of the cakes! The frosting has melted Milky Bar mixed into it! They're not for the faint hearted (defo not for Weight Watchers sufferers), but very, very tasty! And fairly simple to make too!

Don't forget to check out the post below for the Cupcake Craft Challenge & Blog Hop!

The challenge this week is 'All The Two's'... 2 papers, 2 ribbons & 2 flowers (as it's our 2nd Birthday). So here's my DT card for our Birthday Challenge using a fab image image from one of our sponsors this week, Prairie Fairy, thanks Roberta! This little digi cutie is called 'Ballerina Gillian', isn't she just fab...

I've coloured Gillian with Promarkers, and printed the little greeting from my PC. The pink ribbons is Papermania, the lilac one is from my stash. I don't know much about the papers as they were free with a magazine last year, and the little flowers are punched using a small Woodware Daisy punch. I'm entering my card for the Passion For Promarker 'Music Theme' Challenge.

Thanks for popping by today and don't forget to leave a comment! Happy Hopping!

Superstitious?

Hello peeps! Are you superstitious? It's Friday the 13th... I'm not scared, not one bit (eek), nor am I really superstitious! But I have put the Euro Millions on just incase lol!

I have this little cards to share with you, it's a quickie as I didn't go for loads of layers (the background paper is one sheet but looks like two layers... from K & Co Hopscotch pad). The image is a Whimsy one, first time I've used this even though I've had it ages! Used me Promarkers of course! I'm entering it into the challenge at Crafty Catz as it's 'Animals'.

This second card is also a quick one, using this saucy little minx from Kraftin Kimmie (Polly the Wench)! The sentiment is also from Kraftin' Kimmie. She's coloured again with Promarkers. I'm entering her for the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge to do a Boy/Guy card... this is definately for a Guy! No boys allowed here!

Well, good luck if you're playing the Euro Millions tonight!

A Bit of a Rant & Cupcake Craft Challenge #103 Lace

Hello to all my crafting buddies out there in cyber space! I'm back from me travels, seems like ages since I've been on here! I had a lovely time with my family and friends in the UK, I even visited London and went to see a show (be back later in the week with a few photos)... have to say though that it's 100mph in London, couldn't do that everyday! I hold my hat off to all the peeps that do though... especially those that travel on the M25... we got stuck in the most humongous traffic jam on Friday afternoon when the Dartford Tunnel was closed after a truck went on fire on the bridge... what a NIGHTMARE! Didn't help matters that the greedy BLEEPS didn't lift the toll charge until there were 27 mile tailbacks! If they'd lifted it from the start the traffic might have flowed better... but oh no said Westminster... we can't possibly lift the toll! WHAT! Have you ever, no common sense whatsoever! So basically we sat for 3 hours in standing traffic... and there was nothing we could do about it! We missed our ferry and had to pay more to get another one, the last one of the day which we only JUST caught! Great end to our hols!

Anyway, enough of my ranting, I expect you've all been super busy crafting whilst I was away! Well, today it's Cupcake Craft Challenge time, and this week we'd love to see you using 'Lace' on your projects. Here's my DT card for the challenge...

I've used a super cute image from Lili of the Valley, coloured with Promarkers. Instead of using real lace I dusted off my Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch to create my lace border and have added a few flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and a little bow. The leaves are cut out by hand (I don't have a foliage punch... will have to put it on the wishlist). I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Lili of the Valley Challenge... Great little sketch from Bev (I've turned it on it's side)
Stamp Something... Photo Inspiration (I've used the hot pink in the photo)
By the Cute & Girly... Animal Antics
Sweet Stampin Challenge... Pretty In Pink (my roses & paper)

Our sponsor at Cupcake this week is Digi Doodle Shop who are offering a $10 gift voucher to one lucky random winner, and don't forget we're also sponsored by Crafts U Love this month who are offering some fab prizes! Remember though, you MUST include some kind of lace on your project if you want to be in with a chance of winning a prize. Pop over to the Cupcake blog and check out all the other DT creations, you're bound to be inspired!

Well, thanks for popping by today and whilst I was away, I'll be visiting you all soon, thanks for your continuing support!
