Oops, Nearly Forgot!

Ok, this is a quick post, I posted earlier tonight but forgot to upload my card for The Sugar Bowl blog... silly me! The photo is naff as I've taken the picture under artificial light which is yucky! Anyway, I've used the lovely simple sketch that Lilian has supplied, which fits perfect with my Diana Duda stamp 'Believe'... she's coloured with Promarkers of course! The papers are Dovecraft 'Fancy Christmas'... although this is actually a birthday card! Well, off for a bit of my chocolate cake now, I shouldn't really but what the heck! Night night!

The Creative Cottage Challenge - It Takes Two

Hello! This week at The Creative Cottage Challenge it was my turn to pick the theme, so I've chosen 'It Takes Two'... a card and something to match! This could be a gift tag, gift bag, bookmark... the choice is yours! There's a fab prize for one lucky winner... it's one of the new digi kits (Sending Love) that are brand new today... check them out at The Creative Cottage Store at Pollycraft!

For my card and bookmark I've used paper from the 'Sherbet Just For You' digi kit and letters from the 'Something Sweet' digi kit. The image is a Sugar Nellie 'Cheddar' coloured with Promarkers. I'm entering my card into The Sugar Bowl Challenge which is a fab sketch! If you'd like more inspiration be sure to check out the other DT cards and matching items, lots of fab ideas from the girls this week!

Sparkly Sunday

Good morning peeps! Well it's a lovely sunny Sunday morning here, a bit chilly but hey we can't have everything! I thought I'd get out some of my old stash and make a card as I felt a bit guilty really that I don't often put it to good use! Anyone else like me? Anyway, I've used the sketch over at The Sugar Bowl, which is a fab one from Marlene with circles. I thought I'd go all out with the bling so have added lots of pearls, glitter and sparkly bits! I've reused the pearls and butterfly from another project, as the theme over at The Sugar Bowl (along with the sketch) is Recycling. The stamp is a Sugar Nellie (forgot how much I like this bear) which I've coloured with Distress Inks - (yep you heard right - not Promarkers). The sentiment is from a Daisy & Dandelion clear stamp from Papermania. I thought I'd enter my card into two other challenges: Papertake Weekly Challenge - Shiny, Sparkly & Special and also ABC Challenge - U for Unused Stash. Well that's all for today as off to work soon... hope you all enjoy your Sunday!

It's been just gorjuss!

Hello peeps! What a scorcher it's been again today, shame I've been at work all day :( Oh well, I'm off this weekend so looking forward to that! I've made a little card inspired by all the sun we've been having lately...

I've used a little 'Gorjuss Girl' from Sugar Nellie... it's ages since I've coloured one of these little ladies. I've coloured her with Promarkers then cut her out and mounted her onto a frame cut using Nestabilities, the (green) papers are from The Creative Cottage 'Bella Ballerina' digi kit, border is cut using a Marth Stewart Doily Lace punch. I also used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, added ribbon, pearls and a flower to finish!

I made this card with the following challenges in mind...Totally Gorjuss would like you to use a Gorjuss Girl on your card, Lili of the Valley have a 'Here Comes Summer' theme (I think these colours and flower are really summery) and finally A Spoon Full of Sugar want to see some 3D!

Well that's all for tonight, time is getting on so off to beddy byes for me! I hope to get a bit blog hopping done this weekend, thanks for all your lovely comments of late... much appreciated!!!

Girls can do anything!

Hi! I'm making the most of my productive streak by catching up on a few card orders, this first one is for a wedding this summer (how organised am I lol) . The lady who ordered it didn't want a traditional cream card, so instead asked for something with dark reds. She also chose this sweet image having seen it on a card I'd done for my hubby...

I've followed the fab sketch from Friday Sketchers, this one's a keeper! I've also followed the challenge at Papertake Weekly which is buttons, bows, brads & bling! The papers are basic grey and the image is Sugar Nellie, coloured with Promarkers. I've added some heart brads and a yummy bit of satin ribbon for good measure!

My second card is one I made for fun with one of my Kraftin Kimmie stamps, I think this little darling just brings a smile to anyone's face...

This is for the challenge over at the Kraftin Kimmie blog, which is "buttons & bows". The paper is from My Minds Eye Wild Asparagus 6x6 pad. I've also used a sentiment stamp from the Kraftin Kimmie range (how true is that statement!!!)... and the little accessory heart stamp too. Again the colouring is with Promarkers.

Thanks for popping by today!

Cupcake Craft Challenge #76

Good afternoon blogging friends! Well another weekend over and another Monday comes around... so it's time for this week's Cupcake Craft Challenge... but before I tell you about this week's challenge I just wanted to thank you all for playing along with my chosen theme last week "Four Legged & Furry", I was amazed at all the beautiful cards/projects you created and I sure had a hard time picking the Top 5!!!
So onto this week, our theme chosen by Tammy (who is sadly leaving us) is "Red & White All Over"... perfect for Valentine's Day but you don't have to have a Valentine's theme. Here's my little DT card...

I don't often do red & white cards, but I kinda like this one! I've used some of my stash that I haven't used yet (MS Punch Around The Page set I got for Christmas), and this little Gorjuss Girl I received from my friend Tracy back in September... scandalous that she hadn't been inked up until now! It's a plainish card... no patterned paper in sight! Here's what I used...

  • Stamp - Just a girl (Gorjuss - Sugar Nellie)
  • Colouring - Promarkers
  • Scallops - Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page Set
  • Embossing - Cuttlebug Hearts
  • Sentiment - Cuddly Buddly
  • Scallop Circle Punch - Stampin' Up
  • Glossy Accents on boots, hearts, hair clip
  • Ribbon/button from stash

The challenge is sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs this week, who are offering 4 digi images to the lucky winner! But you've got to be in it to win it! Check out the other DT cards, they've done a fab job this week again!

I thought I'd enter my card into the challenge at Stamp Something which is Love Somethings and ABC Challenge which is N for New (My lovely Martha Stewart punch and Gorjuss Stamp)!

Gorjuss Birthday

Hi, I'm back with my second post for today (my Cupcake Craft Challenge DT card is below).
I was going through my stamps the other day (I've got a few lol) and thought it had been quite a while since I've used one of my Gorjuss Girls, don't you find that you tend to neglect stamps once you have a few new ones to play with? Anyhow, I've made a little Gorjuss Birthday card, thought it was about time these little beauties came out of hiding...

I followed the Kathy's sketch from The Sugar Bowl and added an element of "Distressing" as required for the challenge. The card also fits several other challenges; My Time To Craft, where the challenge is to have a CAT on your card, and Simon Says Stamp has a "Shabby Chic" theme, phew! Not often I get a few challenges in one!

The papers are "Exquisite" from Papermania, and the little sentiment is my friend Lyndsey's own design (thanks hun).

Have a lovely cosy evening, I have a feeling I shall craft as my o/h is working late tonight!

A Little Thank You

Good Afternoon! As the weather is HORRIBLE outside, I thought it'd be an ideal opportuninty to do a bit of crafting and blogging. Can't beat being nicely wrapped up in a lovely warm house when the wind is howling outside! And to cheer up my day I've used bright and warm colours on my card...

I've used a little Sugar Nellie I've had for a while but don't seem to use much, I just love her pose. She's coloured with Promarkers, the papers are My Minds Eye Bloom & Grow (I love these) and I've added a few pearls, flower, charm and gloss to the heart for detail. The sentiment is a Penny Black one, I love this as it say's it all!

This card is for the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl, which is this fab sketch by Judy!

I just wanted to say Thanks to all the lovely people who take the time to visit my blog and leave comments! I don't always have time to reply and visit everyone's blog but I want you all to know I really appreciate your words of encouragement! Thanks so much!

It's Been a While and a Sugar Nellie

Hello! It's been a while but I'm back! I had a lovely stay in Kent last weekend, where I did lots of shopping! Unfortunately I only found one craft shop (Paper Mill Shop in Ashford), so I'll have to be more organised next time and check out Google for craft shops before I go! If anyone reading this lives in Kent and knows of any good craft shops I'd love to hear about them!

Ok, I do have a little card to share with you, it's a last minute one for The Sugar Bowl challenge, a lovely sketch by Tiets...

Recipe:

Image - Leanne Ellis for Sugar Nellie
Promarkers
Paper - K & Co Sparkly Sweet
Sentiment - Cuddly Buddly
Embossing - Cuttlebug Perfect Paisley

Ok, off to tidy up my mess now before I get some sleep! Hopefully be back tomorrow to do a bit of blog hopping! Take care, and thanks for popping by!

Brown Somethings

Hi, can you believe that's another week almost over AGAIN!? Well it's Friday and another chance to take part in a new Stamp Something Challenge, this week the theme is "Brown Somethings" although you can use other colours too. Here's my DT card...

I just love this image, although I really don't use it enough. It's from Sugar Nellie, not a new one, but one of my faves all the same. The sentiment stamp is from Cuddly Buddly and I've used MME Wild Asparagus paper, I just love this pack! I shall have to treat myself to some more MME papers, the Bloom and Grow one is next on my ever growing craft list.

This week our generous sponsor is iCopic, who are donating a set of 12 Copic Ciao markers to the winner! So why not pop over to the Stamp Something blog to find out more! You'll also be in for a treat when you see the other lovely DT cards!

As I've coloured the card with my luurvly Promarkers, I'm entering this card for the Passion For Promarkers challenge, a "Recipe - 3 Shapes (not including card shape), 2 papers and 1 ribbon". It also fits for this week's Cute Card Thursday Challenge, So Charming, where you have to use a charm on your card. I just love these little horse charms from The Hobby House.

Thanks for popping by, hope you can join in with the challenge!

Singing in the Rain!

I'm singing in the rain...just singing in the rain la la la...ohhhh what a glorious feeling... ok I'm a rubbish singer but I just had to sing as we finally got rain! After months of no rain the heavens finally opened today! And not before time as the garden has been reduced to a dry, shrivelled mess, the lawn is white and the trees are looking very sorry indeed! I didn't always appreciate the rain in the UK, probably 'cos there was far too much, but I love it now! Roll on the next rainy day!

Ok now for my card today, it's for The Sugar Bowl challenge, which is a lovely sketch by Gayle...

The image is called Time Flies, it's a Leanne Ellis one for Sugar Nellie, coloured with Promarkers. Paper is K & Co and the flower embellies I made myself. I've flipped the sketch on it's side to accomodate my image better, hope that's allowed. Not easy to see on the photo, I've added gloss to the clock, and also some glitter. Thanks for popping by my blog, I shall catch up on some blog hopping tomorrow hopefully.

Birthday Thanks & Lovely in Lilac

Happy Monday to you all! Firstly, I'd just like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday, it's so nice to have blogging friends isn't it! I have to say I had a lovely day and got LOTS of lovely crafty goodies (which I haven't yet had the chance to play with) and some yummy smellies to pamper myself with. I felt like a little girl again, when you wake up on your birthday to some lovely toys! I was spoilt! But no complaints here lol!

I'd like to say a special thankyou to Tracy (ex Ella Bella) who sent me a beautiful handmade card, not to mention a super crafty pressie! You really didn't have to Tracy, but thank you very much! You are a special friend!

Now, I do have a card to share with you all today, it's for the fab sketch challenge at A Spoonfull Of Sugar...

Lots of lilac! I think this is a great sketch by Michelle O, very versatile and not too complicated.

* Stamp is Leanne Ellis for Sugar Nellie
* Promarkers to colour (lilac, cornflower, vanilla, pastel yellow, gold, blush)
* Bazill Cardstock
* DP is an old pack from Dovecraft
* Flowers are handmade using punches
* Craftwork Cards little card candies
* Sentiment from Woodware
* Corner Chomper from We R Memory Keepers (a birthday pressie)
* Ornate corner is a Sissix Die

Well that's it for today, happy crafting, back later in the week!

Colour Combo

Hello, hello! Sorry I haven't been posting much lately, but I've gone back to work and just haven't had a minute! I've really been neglecting my craftroom, and have to say there's an inch of dust everywhere! I've almost forgotten how to ink a stamp up! I'm so out of touch with what's new etc, and at this rate I'll be making Christmas cards last minute as usual! I have one card to show you that I did last week, but never got the chance to put it on my blog...

The image is a Sugar Nellie from Funky Kits, coloured with Pro Markers (before I had skin tone colours so she's looking a bit yellowish)! And while I'm on the subject of yellow, the card is for the Basic Grey Challenges Colour Challenge which is Brown, Yellow and Pink. The paper I used is Basic Grey Sugared and Bazzil cardstock. I did the sentiment with Doodlebug rub-ons and the embellies and ribbon are from my stash.

I just noticed the new Pro Marker colours are out, but all are out of stock in the Joanna Sheen online shop. If you've managed to get hold of any, let me know what you think of the colours. I'm gonna have to treat myself to a few so would love any feedback, thanks.

Busy Busy Busy!

Well I've even surprised myself this weekend with the amount of cards I've managed to get done! I think it's because I know I'm soon due to go back to work so all time is precious! I've completely thrown myself into the crafting over the last few days, I only hope this won't be the last time I'll have a chance for a while! I've had a right good play with my Pro Markers! And as I haven't entered many challenges lately, I've tried to cram a few of those in too...

Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge - 3D

Ok the first of my cards is for the Just Magnolia Challenge, this month it's to do a 3D card. I've gone with this image as it reminds me of summer (we have lots of sunflower fields here during the summer) and I'm hanging onto summer for dear life! I have to say I love the effect 3D gives, but despite being a patient person I just couldn't do lots of 3D cards as the cutting out would drive me up the wall. I hold my hat off to those people who make lots of these gorgeous creations (Debby4000 springs to mind, she's a real expert). This next pic shows Tilda in all her 3D glory...

The Sugar Bowl Challenge - Judy's Sketch

The next card is for The Sugar Bowl Challenge, it's a fab sketch by Judy. I've turned the sketch on it's side to accomodate my image, hope this is ok. The stamp is of course a Sugar Nellie, from Funky Kits. I've had it a little while now but alas had never inked it up - shame! So, as I'm a sucker for cute kitties I just had to use this one. The papers are Basic Grey Boxer (I think), the sentiment is from Clare Curd Clear Sentiments. An extra requirement on this challenge was to use hand made flowers, so I've tried my hand at that and actually quite like the effect...

A Spoon Full Of Sugar - Travel

My final card for the day is for A Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge, Travel is the theme. I made it for my BIL who is moving house, it's a Stampin' Up image (RAK from Vicki - thanks hun). I've kept this really plain and simple, hope he likes it...

Well, that's all for now on the card front, but I have one or two in mind for this week to do so I'll be back soon! Take care and thanks for popping by!

The Next Level and It's Twins!

Firstly "Happy Father's Day" to all the dads out there! My friend's hubby is a brand new dad as my friend has given birth to twin baby girls this week, and they're adorable! Annae & Maellys are both doing well, and mum is recovering from a caesarian as Annae was breach so not in the right position for a natural birth. I went to visit them in hospital and just fell in love, they're so beautiful and so tiny (but not premature so they should be able to leave hospital in the next few days).

Obviously, I had to make a card, and I went for the fab sketch over at The Next Level, which is really unusual. I did flip the sketch to accomodate my image, hope this is ok...

Recipe:
* Cute Twins Image, Sugar Nellie
* Promarkers (Pastel Pink, Vanilla)
* Paper, Pink Leaves & Rose Leaves, Rayher
* Bootie Brads, Poppicrafts
* Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
* Ribbon, buttons, etc from stash
* Baby verse on tag stamp, Elzybells
* All other text, done on PC

I've done a two sided tag to fit in the little pocket, and as this week at Cute Card Thursday the theme is "Tag, you're it", I'll also enter my card into the challenge (click on the tag pics for a better view).
Thanks for popping by, hope you have a lovely Sunday!

My New Leanne Ellis for The Sugar Bowl

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you had a lovely weekend; we were bathed in sunshine this weekend but paid the price today as it's been raining since I got up this morning!

I managed to do a bit of crafting yesterday, and wanted to use one of my new stamps from Sugar Nellie, designed by Leanne Ellis...

I used the fab sketch by Lia over at The Sugar Bowl, so will enter this card into the challenge to win some lovely Sugar Nellie stamps. I used Promarkers to colour the image and all the papers are from a Papermania pack (Simply Elegant) that I haven't used for ages. I've added some special details...

The love charm and pink safety pin are from my stash, the pearl brad is Papermania and the spacer is from The Hobby House. The sentiment is from a little roll of ribbon I found in a cute gift shop while on holiday in Arundel, Sussex. I think it's just great for adding a little message to a card...

Bonne Fête des Mères!

Hello! Firstly, it's Mother's Day in France today so "Bonne Fête" to all the "mamans" lol! Shame the sun isn't shining, it's a bit miserable here today!

Well I've made three cards (I know I surprised myself too)! The first I love, it's with my new Gorjuss (I know she's been around a few months but I just got her...

My Gorjuss Girl is coloured with brush pens, then layered onto a rectangular frame which I then cut the corners off with a round punch, I really like the shape it gives. The paper is Basic Grey and the sentiment is Cuddly Buddly. The flowers were a rak from Katy (thanks hun), I added buttons and cotton to them. I've also put some glossy accents on her hair, not easy to see on the photo. I made this card for Colour Create Challenge, where you have to use all colours of the rainbow. I have to say I'm really pleased with it, not often I use so much colour!

The next card is for the new Stampin for the Weekend Challenge, the first challenge is called "Dawn to Dusk" and the colours to use are purple and yellow...

The image is a Penny Black (RAK from Louby, thanks hun) and I think it's just adorable! It reminds me of a little cat I used to have. I've coloured him with Promarkers and chalks, notice the "glow" around the moon etc. I used Nesties to cut out the frame, then added some ribbon, star brads and gems. The sentiment is again from Cuddly Buddly, which I think goes perfectly with the little cat image! I also decorated the inside but have been too lazy to photograph it! Well, the weather is bad outside so that's my excuse. Nonetheless, another card I like!

Third and final card, this'll be short and sweet. It's was supposed to be for The Next Level challenge, which is a super new blog challenge, with tips and ideas aswell. The challenge is to make an aperture card, and include a lollipop flower (which I forgot duh)! I've struggled with this one and in the end I'm not at all happy with the card, here it is anyway...

The only thing I like about it is the image, which is a Sugar Nellie and is called "How time flies" by Leanne Ellis. The less said about the rest the better!

Have a lovely Sunday evening, thanks ever so much for taking the time to visit, and for enduring this post, it's rather long!

Sundays are for crafting!

Hi, hope you're all having a lovely weekend! Well despite it being a lovely sunny day in France today, I still managed to make two cards! The first one is for A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge, where you have to add lace to your card...

The image is an Elisabeth Bell design from Sugar Nellie. I also used DP from Stampin' Up (Summer Picnic), Bazill red card, sentiment from Cuddly Buddly and rest is from stash. The image has been coloured with Distress Inks...

The second card is for the new Passion for Promarkers challenge blog...

It's my second Promarker card, I'm still getting used to my new pens. I'm finding that they bleed a little depending on what type of card the image is stamped onto, I suppose it'll be a case of trial and error with this. Anyway, the image was a RAK, I think it's from The Greetings Farm, all the papers are from a pack I got in Aldi (France) a while back, the charm is from the Hobby House and sentiment done on Cuttlebug. The Promarkers I have used are: Pastel Pink, Magenta, Blossom, Cool Grey 1 & 2, Gold and Yellow.

Off for a relaxing Sunday evening, hope you enjoy it too!
