Fluffy Pink Cupcakes

Mondays come around so quickly! And that means it's Cupcake time!!! Yum! Now, before I tell you about this week's challenge, I just wanted to say thank you to all the lovely people who joined in with my ENTWINED challenge last week, wow there were so many beautiful creations I really struggled to pick only 5 Cupcake Cuties! I also stuggled with the new word verification that some of you have on your blogs, it's so hard to read, even with my glasses on! Personally I prefer to sift through the comments I get on my own, and get rid of all spam that way, it just makes it a whole lot easier for peeps to leave comments, you already take time to pop by so I wouldn't want you to come up against the nasty and evil word verification!

Ok,  this week at Cupcake Craft Challenge the lovely Keeley has chosen a really sweet challenge... FLUFFY PINK CUPCAKES! Perfect! So if you'd like to play along with us you must create something using pink as the main colour, and include something fluffy and at least one cupcake... now there's a bit of a challenge for you! We are sponsored by Prairy Fairy this week, who are kindly offering the winner a $10 Gift Certificate to spend in their store! Have a pop by the Cupcake blog, 'cos the other girls have come up with some real treats this week! So pretty and girly!

Right, my card. I've used a lovely Lili of the Valley stamp I've had for ages but never used yet (shame on me), coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment & individual cupcakes are from a free stamp set from a Do Crafts Creativity mag from last year, and the yummy papers are also a Pink Petticoat freebie from a magazine a while back (I LOVE these)! My fluff comes in the shape of my pom pom ribbon.

Well, that's it for today... hope you can join us this week with cupcakes galore!

Love You This Much!

A quick hello today! I've been feeling off colour recently but felt a little better yesterday so I made this card for the Pollycraft Challenge (Red, Pink & Cream) using "Earth Fairy" from Pollycraft... first time I've used her, she is a cutie! I coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. Pretty CAS for me... just added a few punched flowers and some pearls. Paper is Basic Grey Sugared. Apologies for the RUBBISH photo but I did it under artificial light, cos it got posted early this morning!

Have a nice weekend, Shelly x

I'd also like to enter my card into the following challenges:
I Love Promarkers - Nature (Earth Fairy/Flowers)
By The Cute & Girly - Love is in the air
Flutterby Wednesdays Challenge... Anything with Wings

Moments That Take Your Breath Away

Are you doing anything nice for Valentine's Day? For me I think it'll be just another freezing cold day, nothing special planned, well what I mean to say is if I don't plan something special then it won't happen :( Spontaneity isn't one of my o/h's strong points unfortunately.

Today is cupcake day, yay! And it's my turn to choose this week's challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenge... it's called Entwined! The clue is in the title... I'd like you to use TWINE on your creation.

For my card I've gone for a romantic feel, being as it's Valentine's Day tomorrow. The sentiment is a digi I've had a while, which I teamed up with some lovely papers (not sure but think they're Anna Griffin) I got from my friend Nadia at A Scrap Affair. I've added some pretty seam binding, vintage french lace, die-cut hearts, pearls, cute heart button and of course some baker's TWINE!

We are sponsored this week by The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop, who are giving away 50 metres of Divine Baker's Twine... oh yummy! Our second sponsor is Stamp Fairy who are giving away a generous $10 Gift Certificate! Pop by the Cupcake blog to see all the details on this week's challenge, and also to take a look at what the other Cupcake girls have come up with, thanks girls for doing such a great job with my theme this week!

Thanks ever so much for visiting, I love hearing from you all! Hope you have a nice Valentine's Day, whatever you do!

SNOW!

Good morning ;) Snow... we still have lots! Not to mention the sub-zero temperatures! It's freezing, really freezing... we had -16°c the other night!!! Now's not the time for the heating to go on the blink that's for sure!

We have a new challenge this fortnight at Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog... and it's all about snow and snowmen! So if you want to get really organised for next Christmas, you can start early with us! We are sponsored by Sketching Stamper Digis... and if you use one of Di's Digi Downloads on your creation then you could also win three of Di's fab digi stamps!

To be honest I've not been myself lately, and have really lost all signs of my Mojo is the last week but I have set myself a challenge this time... to use Flexmarkers only... nothing else. I only have a few but I managed to do this card... and I think it's turned out ok, although the card is a little plain and lacking in imagination I think :(  I've used Di's cute digi called Hugging Snowman, you can find it at Di's Digi Downloads HERE. The sentiment is from Penny Black.

Hope you can join us this time, please pop by the challenge blog to see my fellow DT creations and check out all the details! Have a lovely weekend!

Butterfly Wishes in Pink & Red

Hiya peeps!

Brrr how cold is it outside?!!! It's literally gone from +12°c here to -10°c in a matter of days, but the sun has been shining bright so that's ok! I love the bright, crisp wintery days, but it is flippin' freezing!

Well, we have a new challenge today at Cupcake Craft Challenges for you, and this week it's our lovely Sari Sunshine that's chosen the theme 'Pink & Red'. Now, I did enjoy this challenge, mainly as I had a beautiful image from Pollycraft to work with! I don't have many fairy stamps, but this little beauty really caught my eye... she's a Lilybean fairy and you can find her HERE. Isn't she pretty? I've coloured her using a mixture of  Promarkers and Flexmarkers... I do like the brush tips on the Flexmarkers. Here's a little close up of her and her little butterfly friend...
Our sponsors this week at Cupcake are Pollycraft (offering 5 digis to one lucky winner) and Simon Says Stamp (offering a $20 Gift Certificate to one lucky winner). Please pop by the blog to check out all the details and to see all the other lovely creations my fellow DT buddies have made! Thanks so much for dropping by today.

Smile... it's Monday!

When I was younger I was a Garfield fan and I can remember his catchphrase "I hate Mondays!",  well I can relate to that... the weekend comes to an end so Mondays aren't on my list of favourite things... well until I found out about Cupcake Craft Challenge that is! And being part of the Design Team means I get to play along every week!!! So maybe Mondays aren't so bad afterall?!

Well when I saw this image from Bugaboo Stamps (Cheshire Cat) it just reminded me of Garfield... and as Bugaboo are one of our sponsors this week, the DT were offered an image so my choice was the cat... obviously! The challenge chosen by fab Faye is to RECYCLE something... so I saved the tag and string from a recent purchase of mine (yes I did the sales) and used it on my card. I dug out this sentiment which reads "Wonderful Smile" in French, just perfect for the image me thinks? The papers are K & Co and I used Promarkers to colour.

Ok, two fabulous sponsors this week at Cupcake, Bugaboo Stamps who are offering 7 digital images to the winner, and Creations by AR who are giving away 2 templates from their online shop!

Right, the other DT girls have done a great job of recycling.... so pop over to the Cupcake blog to check out their efforts... and we love reading your comments so please take a minute to leave some love!

Alternative Valentine

Hello everyone! It's the weekend!

I have to say I have been a little absent on the blogging front lately... no real reason apart from I've still got a bit of a crafty block... my mojo really has left the building! I have managed to come up with a little DT card for  today's new challenge at Digi Designs Challenge Blog... our theme this fortnight is VALENTINE'S!

I've not gone with the traditional red, but have used more an alternative colour scheme and sentiment. The card is made using two wonderful digi images from Di's Digi Downloads... you can check out all of her fabulous designs over on her site! Lots of digi's to chose from for Valentine's and much more! I've also used scraps from My Minds Eye 'Bloom & Grow' paper pack... I always end up with bits so when I saw a fab card by Faye HERE I thought what a great idea to use up paper scraps, thanks for the inspiration Faye! Colouring is done with Promarkers & Flexmarkers, and the lovely little sentiment was from the net... I wish I could remember where I got it from so I could credit the person...

Our sponsor this fortnight is Joanna Sheen who is offering a gift voucher to use in her onling shop... and with so many goodies to choose from and free postage this is a fab prize! But you've got to be in it to win it so to speak! Also, if you make something using one of Di's digis you could be in with a chance of winning two images of your choice from Di's store! Hope you can join us ;)

Well, have a lovely weekend!
