Progress with my Pro Markers

Hi, hope you're all having a nice weekend! I've spent most of the day doing my post holiday washing etc, but I did give myself a little time out to do a card for the Passion For Promarkers challenge. I thought I'd give the sketch a go as there's no set colours this week, so here it is...

I've included a little detailed piccy of the image, I seem to be getting the hang of my markers a bit more, it's fun blending them to get different colours...

I can't tell you all the colours I used but I mixed them a bit...the boys jeans are done with Cyan, Cool Grey 2 & 3, Royal Blue and the blender pen. It's a case of trial and error for me, but I had fun doing it! The papers I used are Papermania.

Well off to get ready for the match, Newcastle start their Championship quest today (The Premiership is a distant memory now). I won't get upset if we don't win, but I hope that the team plays well, in memory of Sir Bobby Robson! What a wonderful man he was, I met him once when he managed Ipswich Town (my brother played for Ipswich in the 80's), but I don't remember much as I was only little. My brother always praised him. It's sad he's lost his battle with cancer, but he put up one hell of a brave fight.

Charmed Somethings

Hi everyone! Well it's Friday again and time for another Stamp Something challenge! This week you need to add a charm to your card (easy peasy) so here's my DT card...

We have a new sponsor this week, Quixotic Paperie, a new online craft shop based in the UK. They are kindly offering a £10 Gift Voucher to one lucky winner, so what are you waiting for, you can even combine the challenge as long as your creation is NEW. I hope you can join in with us at Stamp Something, looking forward to seeing your charming cards (sorry, I couldn't help it).

On another note, I know I haven't been around much recently, and I haven't done any blog hopping as I had no access to the internet whilst away, but I've just returned home so hopefully I'll have time to do a bit crafting over the weekend, and also visit a few blogs. Once I clear the way to my craftroom through the piles of holiday washing etc!!!

Paper Pieced Somethings

Hi! I have to say it's just great being on holiday, although I do miss having my laptop at hand, but then again aren't holidays for relaxing? I've just been to Cyprus, which was fab but VERY hot! I have some pics to share with you when I get back, as I'm currently visiting family in the UK. Anyway, it's difficult for me to get access to the internet at the moment, so here's just a very quick post to let you know about this week's Stamp Something challenge.

The challenge is "Paper Pieced Somethings" and is sponsored this week by Whiff of Joy, who do the most beautiful stamps. Here is my DT card ...

You have to create something using paper piecing, a technique that I just love. If you're not familiar with the technique, check out the Stamp Something blog for more details and to view all the other DT cards! I've used one of my Gorjuss Girls stamps and have paper pieced her dress and tights using Basic Grey paper. I hope you can play along with us this week, I'm sure you'll enjoy paper piecing and you could win a fab prize from the fantastic Whiff of Joy range!

Stamp Something - Sketch with Dustin Pike

Hello Everyone! Hope you're all having a nice weekend! At last, I'm on holiday!!! Work has been a real pain this year and I've been waiting for the summer hols for a long time now and can't believe they're finally here! I just hope they don't fly by! It's been ages since I've had a good crafting session and my blog has suffered too through lack of time! Now I'm off on my hols tomorrow so I won't be able to get much done before I leave! I've got piles of stuff to do today so crafting will have to wait - AGAIN!

I have done one card though this week, and it's for the Stamp Something challenge this week "Sketch with Dustin Pike". Each member of the DT was given two fab Dustin Pike images and had to make something using the sketch. So here's my card...

The image was a download from Dustin's site "Doodle Dragon Studio", he has loads of fabby images available! The paper I used was Picnic Patch from Daisy and Dandelion and the text which reads "ensemble" (together) is a from a clear stamp set from Artemio. The ribbon and button are from my stash.

Please join in the challenge with us at Stamp Something, and check out the other fab DT creations over at the Stamp Something blog now!

I'm Back!

Just a little hello to let you all know I'm back from the sunny South of France! I can honestly say it was an EXHAUSTING trip, but I shall return (with my hubby though) so I can make the most of it next time! The scenery was just stunning in "Les Gorges du Verdon" where we did a fab rafting actvity, but not for the faint-hearted though! More about that soon, and hopefully some cards too!

Short of Time...

Hi everyone!

Hope you're having a good week so far! Sorry I'm not posting much at the minute but I'm very short of time, work is taking up the lot!!! Tomorrow I'm going away for 2 weeks, to the Cote d'Azur! Unfortunately I'm taking 10 terrible teenagers with me so it won't be all St Tropez chic unfortunately! I'm hoping to get back in one piece so I shall be back to blogland soon after! Thanks for your support!

Please pop back on Friday to see the new challenge from Stamp Something!
