Just to surprise you all I've coloured with Promarkers lol and added flowers punched from my Nellie Snellen flower punches! My papers are K & Co and are called 'Sparkly Sweet'... I though they were 'very icecream' coloured! My little sentiment is an old one from Cuddly Buddly. I've added some pearls and gems too, for extra sweetness!

Now should you win this week's challenge, Bugaboo Stamps are giving away 7 digis, WOW! Not forgetting our 'Icing on the Cupcake' sponsor for this month Crafts U Love who are giving away a£15 gift voucher to one lucky winner chosen at random!

Cupcake Craft Challenge 129 - I {heart} you

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello to all you craft lovers out there! Well, did you get any mushy Valentine's cards? Any marriage proposals? Well whatever, have a Happy Valetine's Day!

Ok, today at Cupcake Craft Challenge it's my turn to choose our theme so to tie in with Valentine's Day I've chosen I {heart} you for this week's challenge, which basically means we want to see HEARTS on your crafty creations! I've made two DT cards for this challenge, I got carried away with the mushyness! My first card (above) is done using a lovely Heather Ellis digi image from the Pure Innocence collection, coloured with Promarkers. The paper is from Wild Rose Studio, and the cute sentiment stamp is from Taylored Expressions. I've added some heart embellishments to finish off!

Challenges I'm entering with my I {heart you} card:
Fab n Funky - Tempting Textures
Passion For Promarkers - Let There Be Love
Stamp Something - Something For Your Valentine

Now onto my second card (below)... as we're sponsored this week at Cupcake by Lori Designs I've made this card using this super cute Ella the Elephant digi, again coloured with Promarkers. The paper is K & Co, heart is from a Sizzix die and the sentiment reads 'Don't forget that I love you more than anything'... I thought it went well with the Elephant theme lol! I've also used some white netting (I'm liking this can you tell lol)... I think it looks sweet with the little charm?! There's a few hearts here again!

Challenges I'm entering with my 'Dont't Forget' card:
Stampin For The Weekend - St Valentine's Day
Creative Card Crew - For A Loved One
The Craft Pad - Hearts

This week you could win a $10 Gift Certificate to spend in the Lori Designs store, and don't forget the Icing on the Cupcake prize which this month is a fab £15 Gift Voucher from Crafts U Love! And not forgetting that you could be in our Top 5! Now the other Cupcakes have put their HEARTS (sorry couldn't resist) into making some super projects for you to feast your eyes on, please pop by and show them some love!

Well I hope you get to spend some quality time with the person you love today!

Big Surprise, Little Boy!

How cute is this little character? He was part of the big surprise my kind hubby gave me recently, another Lili of the Valley stamp... I just adore these little boy stamps! Anyway, I had to do a card with him pronto, and I thought of the K & Co papers I had in my stash, thought they'd be perfect with the little toys! I've used the sketch over at Sketch Saturday, it's really easy and versatile! My little man is coloured with Promarkers, the sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly.

Well, last night we had thunder & lightning here... we needed it as the temperature yesterday was 40°c... I was just melting in the heat and stayed indoors all day. So today it's a little cooler but so so muggy! When I lived in the UK I was forever complaining that it wasn't sunny enough, now I've got the sun I stay indoors and look for shade! There's no pleasing some people lol! Hope you all enjoy a lovely, sunny weekend (but not too hot)!

New Beginnings & Bright and Sparkly

Back with another card for two challenges, this time it's the "New Beginnings" challenge at Papertake Weekly Challenge and the "Bright & Sparkly" challenge at Crafty Catz Challenge. I've gone for a New Year card with my new Wags n Whiskers stamp...

I just love this stamp, those 3 little friends are just so cute! This card is for my friend so I thought the image was quite fitting. Both the stamp and the paper were pressies for Christmas, my very well informed (about crafting) hubby bought them for me! Isn't he good! Here's what I used...

Ingredients:

Stamp - Furry Friends, Wags n Whiskers
Paper - Amy Butler, K & Co
Flower - Prima
Gems from stash
Sentiment stamp - Oogaloo

I'm really into doing bright cards at the minute, you might well have noticed! I think I just need cheering up following this long, cold spell! Not to mention the lack of daylight we're getting! Roll on Spring!

Magnolia Mother's Day

In France, Mother's Day is in June this year, so for my MIL's card I decided to use the lovely sketch by Naoual from the Just Magnolia challenge blog...

I have added glitter to her wings and around the hearts, and gold in her hair although it's difficult to see from the photo...

Tilda is stamped in Versafine and coloured using Distress Inks. The paper (which we can see very little of) is from a K & Co pad and has "Mother" written on it in different ways. The sentiment stamp is from Artemio and reads "from the bottom of the heart". All other embellishments are from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

Back from me hols!

Hello all! Well it's back to reality for me, I got back Monday and haven't stopped washing and cleaning since! I had a great time in the UK, we visited Sussex and Kent and did some sightseeing, shopping, lots of eating and drinking, and I even managed to make a stop at the Glitter Pot and get a few goodies (some are destined for my up and coming blog candy). I haven't had a chance to use my new stuff yet apart from some Sizzix dies I got (one of them I used on my card for this week's Just Magnolia Challenge). Hopefully I'll get a chance to do a bit of crafting today!

This is my card for the Just Magnolia Challenge which is "Pink and Green", it's for my cousin and his wife who've just had a baby girl. Get this - my cousin's wife went to the loo, started her contractions and thought there was something wrong, she called my cousin who came and realised the baby was on it's way, so he rang the paramedics as he could see the baby's head. By the time they arrived, baby Heidi was born (delivered by my cousin at home). The paramedics took mum and baby to get checked over in hospital. All was fine and they were sent straight back home! Not bad going eh!

Well I've missed having a look at all your lovely creations so off to do a bit blog hopping! Toodle pip!

Don't forget the pancakes...

Yesterday was "Chandeleur" in France. "Chandeleur" is celebrated on the 2nd of February every year, the 40th day after Christmas. It is said that on this day if you toss a pancake without dropping it, with a silver coin in your hand, you will have a happy and prosperous year! So last night we had pancakes, yum yum, with jam, cream, chocolate sauce, maple syrup etc...Mmmmm!!! Anyway, Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday) is on the 24th of February in the UK this year, so I made my card on this theme using the sketch on Friday Sketchers this week (really simple but nice sketch to use)...

The inner was done on the pc, I added doodled edges and stamped part of the image...

On the detail shot you can just see the gloss on the bowl and jam jar, done with Anita's glossy accents (I've had this for ages but just started to use it recently)...

I used:
* Stamp "Birthday Recipe" Penny Black
* W/C pancils to colour image
* Wording done on PC
* Paper from K & Co
* Nestabilities Scalloped Square
* Gingham Ribbon Doodlebug Designs
* Buttons, fibres from stash

So now you all know the date, there's no excuse so start tossing those pancakes on the 24th!

This is why I needed a round sentiment!!!

Well, after spending most of the afternoon looking for a round sentiment on the net for my card (wasted half my day for nothing really - once I'm on this bl**dy computer I can't get off it), I ended up improvising! So here it is, my card for Sketch Saturday (#34 fab sketch this week)...

A little close up of the flowers, unfortunately I can't take credit for making then, my friend brought them over from Romania! They're lovely but I only have a few, shame!

I used:

* Tilda image (RAK - thank you) coloured with w/c pencils
* Sentiment stamp Studio G
* Papers K & Co
* Nestabilities Circles
* Buttons, lace, flowers & ribbon from stash

Thanks girls for the offers of round sentiments, I'll try to do 'em justice on my future creations!

Pink and Green Tilda

Ok, this is for a Spoonful of Sugar Challenge this week where the brief is to do a card in shades of pink and green. I've used a Tilda stamp, K & Co paper, lace, and the little sentiment is from a stamp that I've had in my stash for ages! I like the softness of this card. This is the first time I've used lace on my cards so I'm afraid it's not very inventive, but I think it goes with the image and the papers.
