Cute & Fuzzy Somethings

Good Afternoon! Isn't it great, it's almost the weekend and I'm so pleased as I have 3 whole days off work YIPEE!!! That means that I'll definately have some time to craft, I can't wait as I got some new rubber yesterday but more of that later.

It's Friday so it's Stamp Something Challenge time, and this week we'd like to see you create some Cute & Fuzzy Somethings, here's mine...

I just love this little Beatrix Potter image, so cute! I've coloured with Promarkers and used a fine liner to add details to the kitty's fur. The papers are My Mind's Eye "Bloom and Grow", the sentiment stamp is from Penny Black and the ribbon is Artemio. I've added some extra detail with my Sissix corner die and Prima flowers. I've used a fab sketch from this week's Cupcake Challenge, so will enter my card for this, and the theme over at Passion For Promarkers is Animals, plus you can use any colours for the challenge, so another challenge for me to enter!

This week we are sponsored by a digi company called Ildi Co, who do some really cute Teddy images, clowns and some funky robots too! Just click on the link to take you to their site!

Pop over to Stamp Something to check out the other DT cards, and get more information on the challenge and this week's prize. Don't forget we'll also be choosing out favourite Top 5 projects!

Snow Buddies

There's a new christmas digi kit out over at The Creative Cottage called Snow Buddies. It's full of cute images of eskimos, polar bears and the most delish papers in brown and blue tones. Here are a couple of quick cards I made last night with this kit...

The kit is so easy to use, some of the papers can even be used for other occassions as they don't all have a winter theme. Pop over to The Creative Cottage to see the kit and some of the other DT samples.

Boo! Another Witchy Creation

Good Morning everyone! Ok, here's another Halloween card, I'm on a roll with these at the moment, but I saw this image from Mo's Digital Pencil and just had to use it...

I've kept the card really simple as I just love the image and didn't want to take anything away from it, so the only detail is the ribbon. Not sure if it works, think maybe it's lacking a little something, never mind! This is the first time I've used an image from Mo Manning, but I have to say the illustrations are out of this world! I shall definately be using them more often! The image is coloured with Promarkers and also Color Box Chalk Inks for shading in the night sky. I've added a few little stars with a white gel pen. And that's basically it (although it took a while to colour the image as it's fairly detailed).

This card is for two challenges, Stampin For The Weekend which is "A Haunting Good Time" and ABC Challenge which is "Flying" (I know this little witch isn't flying here but that's only cos her little pet cat/dog is afraid of heights lol!

Something a little Spooky...

Hello and a Happy Friday to you all! With only a week now until Halloween, the theme over at Stamp Something is Something for Halloween, so here's the DT cards I've done...

This week's sponsor is Cute Daisy May, so the Design Team were given these cute digital images to work with for this challenge. I just love the first image with the little cat, he reminds me so much of my little cat Réglisse (he's black). I've coloured the images with Promarkers, papers are from The Creative Cottage (first card) and are free to download this month, as are both sentiments. The papers on the second card are Dovecraft "Wild Blossom", which were kindly sent to me from my friend Denise (thanks a lot hun). Rest is from my stash.

Well, unfortunately the French don't celebrate Halloween as much as in the UK (or the US), but I shall buy some sweeties just in case any little ones pop by! If it's like last year I'll end up eating the sweeties myself!

There's a lovely prize on offer this week to one random winner, so get crafting your spooky creations to be in with a chance to win!

I also have a little request for anyone out there who has a card to spare. This month is Spina Bifida Awareness Month, and my fellow DT member Giovana has put a request on her blog for all us crafties to send a card to a little girl called Rebekah, who is 7 and has Spina Bifida. Here is a link to the post if anyone would care to send a card to Bekah, thanks so much for your support!

It's Been a While and a Sugar Nellie

Hello! It's been a while but I'm back! I had a lovely stay in Kent last weekend, where I did lots of shopping! Unfortunately I only found one craft shop (Paper Mill Shop in Ashford), so I'll have to be more organised next time and check out Google for craft shops before I go! If anyone reading this lives in Kent and knows of any good craft shops I'd love to hear about them!

Ok, I do have a little card to share with you, it's a last minute one for The Sugar Bowl challenge, a lovely sketch by Tiets...

Recipe:

Image - Leanne Ellis for Sugar Nellie
Promarkers
Paper - K & Co Sparkly Sweet
Sentiment - Cuddly Buddly
Embossing - Cuttlebug Perfect Paisley

Ok, off to tidy up my mess now before I get some sleep! Hopefully be back tomorrow to do a bit of blog hopping! Take care, and thanks for popping by!

Bling It Somethings...

Hello! Oh, I've had such a busy week this week, I seem to be getting a few things done so my efforts aren't all to no avail! Unfortunately the crafting has had to take a back seat this week, so I've had nothing to share with you all! But alas, today is Friday and time for another Stamp Something challenge, and this week we'd like to see your Bling It Somethings, here's my DT card...

I have to say I enjoyed this one, and have rather gone to town on the bling! But as it's a Christmas card, then I think it's not too OTT! I just love bling at Christmas!

The image is Penny Black "tis the season", coloured with Promarkers. The paper I did myself by using a snowflake stamp and silver tinsel embossing powder (it's AGES since I did any heat embossing), and I have to admit I really like it! I've made the little snowflake embellies using punches and gems, the ribbon/tinsel is Papermania and the sentiment is from an old See D's set. For that extra bling factor, I've added lots of glitter glue! Et voila!

This week, the challenge is again sponsored by iCopic, so don't miss out on a chance to win a fabby prize! Get over to the Stamp Something blog to see all the DT cards, and then get blinging!!!

As for me, I'm off for a little trip to good old Blighty this weekend, can't wait! I shall be snooping around the Kent area, trying to get a bit of Xmas shopping done (I know I'm early but it makes a change for me). Of course I'll have to sniff out a craft shop whilst in the UK, I have to feed the habit lol!

Bows, Buttons and a Stitch or Two

Hello on this sunny Monday afternoon! Ok, I'm going to have to calm down as I've just experienced a bit of road rage! Without going into too many details, I've just had a 38 tonner right up my ar*e, beeping and flashing his lights as I wasn't going fast enough for him (despite the fact that I was doing the speed limit on that road). So when he finally overtook me, he got stuck behind the next car and tried to overtake them on a bend, what is it with these people!

Changing the subject to a more calming one, here's a little card I made for Penny Black Saturday Challenge (Buttons and Bows) and Cupcake Craft Challenges (Buttons and Stitching)...

The image and sentiment are both Penny Black, I've coloured the cute kitties with Promarkers. The scallops were done with a SU border punch, and I punched holes with my Big Bite to thread the ribbon through. The ribbon is from my friend Tracy, thanks hun! The paper is K & Co "Sparkly Sweet". I've added three little buttons to fit with the challenge.

Right, off to make myself a cuppa to calm my nerves!
