Passion for Promarkers...a little break

Hello friends...

Today there's a new challenge over at the Passion for Promarkers blog, the lovely Marie has chosen "Make it Digital"...she'd like you to use a digital element on your card (image, sentiment, papers or all three). For me, this will be my last card for a little while as part of the Passion for Promarkers team (I'm having some health problems at the moment which are effecting everyday life, including crafting)...

I've used a digital set I bought a while back from Pink Petticoat (sadly no longer trading), the image, sentiment and papers are all digital). I used my Promarkers to colour the image and my Letraset fineliner for the doodles.

Summer Lovin'

Hi folks! Just a quick post today to share my DT card for Passion for Promarkers...this week the theme of our challenge is SUMMER LOVIN' (Anniversary, Wedding, Love etc)...

I've gone for a CAS look without too many frills...I used my Letraset markers to colour the little love birds...very simple colouring indeed! Only used 3 colours! The digital image and paper are from Pink Petticoat, I bought this set a few years back now but thought it was perfect for our challenge!

It's Freezing Brass Monkeys!

Brrrr, I'd forgotten what frosty mornings felt like... I've just been reminded! Flippin' 'eck... and we've got months of this to go yet!!!

Just wanted to share a little card I made yesterday, it's for my friend back in the UK who is moving into a new home. I hope she likes pink!!! Don't you just love this cute Digi Stamp Boutique image (shame it's retired)... that's definately my cat on the roof! I'm entering my card into the monthly challenge at Digi Stamp Boutique Blog, Simon Says Stamp - Nursery Rhymes (This is the house that Jack built) and also the challenge 'Aint it Cute' at I Love Promarkers.

Anyone see RED OR BLACK on telly... how amazing for that lad to win £1,000,000 quid! He seems like a nice guy so good luck to him and his family. How cool would it be to win that amount of money? What would you spend it on?

Anyway, here's a little thank you card I made a while back and didn't share, the image is a freebie stamp (Pink Petticoat) from a craft magazine. The flower is coloured with Promarkers.

Oldies but Goodies!

Hello peeps! Well I've finally had time to make a card this week... and post it on my blog (that's a rare occassion at the moment). Anyway, I hadn't used my Penny Black stamps for ages so I dusted a couple off... the little bear stamp is one of the very first stamps I bought from Happy Stampers (who sadly don't trade anymore)! I bought some downloadable polka dot papers from Pink Petticoat this week (obviously because I don't have any papers so I really NEEDED them) and at 3am when I couldn't sleep I got up and made this card! I have to say I don't think my o/h was too pleased when the noise of the paper trimmer woke him up in the middle of the night :$

Have you ever thought "my card is missing something but what... it looks blank"... well that's what happened with me here... I tried buttons, ribbon more flowers but nothing looked right so I decided to doodle and I have to say I kinda like the effect, maybe I'll be doing more doodling in the future! Anyway I'm entering my card for a couple of challenges...

Fabulous at 40 !!!

Just made this card for my friend who's 40! It took me ages, whoa! Don't know why but I seemed to have been on with this for a while! Out of interest, how long does it take you to do a card? The sketch is from Mumur at Friday Sketchers, it's a great sketch, a bit more complicated than I usually do! Probably why it took me so long?! The image is coloured with shimmer paints, the papers are printed from a CD, Pink Petticoat (I haven't used these for a while). I've added the ribbon, buttons and gems for bling! Also used Cuttlebug embossing folders, sentiment was printed on laptop! I'm not sur if it's missing something on the left side, but haven't added anything as couldn't decide!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Male card - No Blue

The challenge this week at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is to do a man's card without any blue, which was a bit tricky for me as I don't really have any dp with a male theme/colour scheme (shall put it on my shopping list). I always make girly cards, and whenever there's a male birthday I struggle cos' somehow I don't think pink or lilac is appropriate! So I used red and silver and ran the silver mirri card through my Cuttlebug. The card is for my father-in-law's birthday next week, he's french so hope he likes it. It reads "to your health...Happy Birthday"...

Penny Black Saturday Challenge # 10 - Ribbons

Well seeing as summer is drawing to an end (boo hoo) I thought I'd make this one quite bright! The theme for this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge is ribbons, which I love! But for some reason I found it hard to do something out of the ordinary. In the end I tried to make some little flowers by stitching along one edge of the ribbon then gathering the stitching to make the flower. I would have liked to have added more ribbon but didn't want to overdo it?! Maybe I'll make another card, just to try out some more ribbon! Anyway, here's what I did...


I used:

- Penny Black images from "Bubbly" set
- Watercolour pencils (Faber Castell)
- Sentiment stamp from Woodware
- Gingham ribbon I bought by the metre
- Brads from my stash
- Chalks & ink to distress
- Paper from Pink Petticoat, Paper Mill & Tesco
