Sweet Wonderful You

Just a quick post to say hi!

I'm very much in the CAS mood at the moment, so here's a card I made with one of my recent purchases... these pretty Pink Petticoat papers are HALF PRICE... I can't resist a bargain! The cerise paper was done by colouring a strip of card with my Promarker to match the cherries on the other paper. The sentiment was one I found on the internet and have had forever, so I can't remember where I got it from... you could do your own on the PC. I punched the scallops with my old SU punch, then added baker's twine and a cute charm! The card is  4" x 4" so nice and dinky!

Quick question... anyone who uses Google Chrome as their browser having problems at the moment? My PC is going so slow when I'm on the internet/blogger with Chrome and the little window keeps popping up saying the pages aren't responding?

Royal Mail

Hi peeps! Just a quickie today! The sun is finally shining here and the snow has gone ;)

I made this VERY clean and simple card for a friend to wish them a Happy New Year (people tend to send New Year cards as opposed to Christmas cards in France). I've had this image FOREVER and I always make at least one card with it each year... it's one of my faves! The only thing I've added is some doodling and the handwritten sentiment. Et voila!

Favourite Colour Combo... What's Yours?

Hello girls & boys!

Crikey we had tons of snow at the weekend, proper soft snow that crunches under your feet! Then yesterday the icy drizzle came and it's starting to turn into that wet, yucky snow I hate! How many days until Spring?  Oh and thanks for your kind comments, I bought myself some new digi papers so will hopefully be joined by the old mojo, and be back to my old self soon, that's the plan anyway!
So what's your favourite colour combo? I have to say I have several, but my real fave is probably GREEN & BLUE... despite the blue and green should never be seen etc... rubbish! If that was the case the grass would be pink and the sky yellow! Anyway, enough waffle... our challenge this week at Passion for Promarkers is
FAVOURITE COLOURS... easy peesy!

I've kept my card very Clean & Simple, just a few pearls and button flower to embellish. I coloured using my new Tria markers I got for Christmas, very nice pens! I still have a lot of practice to do before I'll be happy, but I enjoyed the colouring... plus these cute Heather Ellis digi stamps are so easy to colour! I doodled the sun, felt it needed sunshine (don't we all)!

Our sponsor is Bugaboo, who are offering a very generous 7 digi stamps to one lucky random winner! But before you start on your creation, check out the gorgeous cards the other DT girls have made, you won't be disappointed! Thanks for popping by today! Stay warm & safe x

Create a Scene at Cupcake

Hello! Did you have a nice weekend? Hope so! I'm feeling a little more motivation, but despite that I am still not happy with my mojo. I just can't seem to find the right embellishment, finishing touch etc to add to my cards, so I'm not a happy bunny. However, I tried something new... I coloured on watercolour paper using my Promarkers/Flexmarkers and LIKED (yep you read it right) the result! Maybe there's hope yet?

We have a fab challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenge today, Donna has challenged us all to 'Create a Scene'. Here's mine...
This cute stamp was a present from my mam, how cute?! It's a Helz Cuppleditch clear stamp called Snoozing Santa. I just love the cat too! The stamp is only Santa in his chair, the rest I drew to create the scene (photo frame of rudolf, hot choc, newspaper and lamp are all draw). This is my effort of the colouring I mentioned above, what do you think? I find it difficult sometimes to blend the colours with Promarkers, and this seemed easier with the watercolour paper... and the ink didn't bleed over the lines! Here's a close up...
We're sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps this week, who are very generously giving away 7 digi stamps of the winners choice. Why not have a go at winning this super prize?! Check out the details at the Cupcake blog, and have a look at the fab creations the other Cupcake girls have come up with! Thanks for popping by today xx

Winter Chills

Hi folks! I'm back, although I'm still not feeling well or have much in the way of inspiration... the mojo is still proving elusive, and I have NO motivation... HELP! Despite this I have DT commitments, so I am trying my hardest to get back into the swing of things!
So, we have a brand new challenge over at Di's Digi Designs Challenge blog for you, and the weather we're having is just the perfect inspiration for this fortnight's "WINTER" challenge. All you have to do is create a Winter inspired project, a great opportunity for you to get a headstart on your Christmas cards! I say "All you have to do"... but I struggled, nothing seemed to 'fit' with my card.

I've used this really cute digi stamp called Guiding Light from Di's Digi Downloads. You should pop by Di's online shop, she has just the cutest digital stamps ever! Despite really struggling with the old mojo, I enjoyed colouring this cute teddy! We are kindly sponsored by The Cutting Cafe, and also Di will be giving away some digi stamps from Di's Digi Downloads, for the winner who used one of her designs. Pop over to the challenge blog to see all the fabulous DT inspiration, and more details about the prizes!

Thanks for putting up with me, I just wish I could shake myself out of it. Maybe a little purchase is need ;)

Crafters Block

It's that time again, when the old mojo just walks out the door without so much as a goodbye... I have Crafter's Block! That's an illness, isn't it? Well whatever, I caught it! As well as a nasty cold. I officially hate January, and being cold, and grey weather, and drizzle, and the fact that it gets dark so soon that you have to put the lights on at 3 in the afternoon, and the mahoosive spare tyre I have from scoffing all the chocolates, which I need to cure myself of the illness...

...so when I'm cured of Crafter's Block, I will be back with a card, I hope!

Peach & Blue at Passion for Promarkers

Hiya peeps!

Today at Passion for Promarkers we have a colour challenge for you... it was my choice as a newbie to Team 1 to pick the challenge so I went for a colour combo, Peach & Blue... I do like this colour combo! I chose to do a notebook, but you can do anything so long as you stick to the colours. I just love the little Lili of the Valley image (Tea Party) I chose to use, isn't she just so sweet?!

Speaking of Lili of the Valley, they are sponsoring the challenge this week and are generously offering a £10.00 voucher to our lucky, random winner to use in their online store... how can you resist?! They have some stunning stamps etc, I just love their images! And if you'd like some inspiration to get the creative juices flowing, just pop by the Passion for Promarkers blog and check out all the fabulous creations from the DT girls! January Blues

Hiya peeps! Don't feel too down now that Christmas and New Year are behind us and the long, cold, dark month of January greets us all... all is not lost as we have a new challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenge, this week our lovely and talented Delphine has chosen Monochromatic Blues as our theme, so it's all blue but you can use skin and hair colours.

For my card I went with a winter theme, I used a Mr Snowman digi stamp from Heather Ellis, teamed with some frosty embellishments. I'm a big fan of blue, so I was in my element doing this card!

We are sponsored by Flat Friends, who are generously giving away 6 images to the lucky random winner! Just drop by the Cupcake blog to see the other DT girls creations, and then pop your creation into mr linky for a chance to win!

Pastures New...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
To kick off 2013 we have a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenge... simply TRY SOMETHING NEW! This could be a new fold, technique or project, so long as it's new to you. For my card I've chosen a Twisted Easel Card, something I've never done before. I found a really helpful tutorial HERE.

The image is from Di's Digi Stamps, it's called Wheelbarrow Ted... too cute! Pop by Di's online store and check out this cute digi stamp and lots more! This fortnight we are kindly sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs, pop across to the challenge blog to see more details of the prize.

Well, we've seen the end of 2012 and the beginning of 2013... and the world hasn't ended yet! I'm looking forward to seeing all your lovely creations this year! xx
