A Little Notebook for Little Miss Muffet

Hello!

I've been asked to Guest Design for Little Miss Muffet Challenges this fortnight... yeah!

They have a fab new challenge, Tags & Gifts... I've made a little notebook... first time I've done one of these and I have to say I LOVED making this! The super cute winged horse digi stamp is called Nightwind, and was kindly supplied by Little Miss Muffet Stamps. Nightwind is part of the Hills of Mooradale collection. I added a few handdrawn extras (rainbow, sun and cloud). I might just keep this little notebook as a gift to myself... I'm partial to flying horses, well any horses really! Why not join us this fortnight, you could win 2 fab digi stamps of your choice!

Black & White Plus One & Some News

Good morning!

There's a fab new challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge today, chosen by our lovely Cupcake mummy Faye... Black & White Plus One (other colour).

I've gone for blue as my plus one, and have used this gorgeous floral digi stamp from DigiStamp Boutique. Again I've kept this card very simple, no fussy embellishments, just clean lines and a few gems for the flower centres. Interested? Well just pop over to the Cupcake blog to check out the other lovely creations my DT buddies have made, and also to see the details of the prizes on offer from our two fabulous sponsors, Pink Gem Designs and Crafts U Love!

Right, now for my news... well as you know I just love colouring with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers, and so you can imagine how thrilled I was to be asked to join the Design Team at Passion For Promarkers Challenge! So look out for me... I'll be starting with the challenge on Tuesday 4th December!
Thanks for dropping by today xx

Give Thanks

Flippin' heck... I can't believe Christmas is only a month away... I am very unprepared as usual! It looks like I'll be sending bought cards out this year, I always say I'm going to start Christmas card making early and I never do!

Well, you can't have too many thank you cards, so this fortnight at Di's Digi Designs Challenge we'd like you to 'GIVE THANKS'. Bureaucratic Monkey Business!

Hello!

Ok, so I haven't had the best of days but do you ever feel like you're getting nowhere fast? I get this feeling quite a lot living in France... I love France, but one thing I dislike about France is the obsession with paperwork over here! There's an article in The Telegraph about 'becoming french' and I quote;

"...French officialdom's obsession with paperwork. This is one of the the most important things I’ve learned in the past six years of French rural bliss. There’s always someone demanding to see your birth certificate, wedding certificate or civil contract, driving licence or a piece of paper called an RIB that gives your bank details. Your utility bills and rates demands need to be kept for five years. Hold on to every scrap of paper you get from your builder or a tradesman. File everything — and you’ll be invincible."

This is so true, and I've had my fair share of this, but it gets a little tiring after a while. Why make something easy when you can make it difficult? Oh well, c'est la vie...

Right, rant over... here's a little cheeky monkey card I thought I'd share with you. It's very CAS, which is a style I've become quite fond of lately. I'd like to enter the challenge at Digi Stamp Boutique, with my Marco the monkey card (Marco can be purchased from Digi Stamp Boutique).  I've coloured with Promarkers. The rest was handdrawn by moi! Bonne SoirĂ©e Mes Amis!

Say Cheese!

Good afternoon peeps!

How's the weekend going? Wet and miserable here... I will get cosy in my craftroom later, before I watch a bit of Sunday night TV!

Urm right, I just thought I'd share this card with you... I really love this image of Maurice from Pollycraft, such a fun character! Unfortunately my photographic skills in this picture are less than acceptable, I don't know what happened with the colours?! He looks rather ill, does Maurice! A bit jaundiced perhaps!? Enjoy your evening xx

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star...

Good evening peeps!

I just wanted to pop this little card on my blog, it's for a friend who has recently become a daddy! I have to say I had a bit of  a nightmare with this card... I did my usual doodling around the egde and it just didn't look right hence the lilac border! It looks ok, but I won't make a habit of this ;)

The image is from Pollycraft, so cute! I've coloured with Promarkers, of course! I'm entering my card for the Passion for Promarkers Challenge - Moon & Stars.

Right off to see how my bread is cooking... in the bread machine that is... you can smell freshly baked bread around the house! xx

I found this beautiful poppy image on the internet HERE and just had to colour it. I've kept the card very simple, the flower and sentiment say it all.

A Nice Cup Of Tea!

Ok, so I might not be the world's best nurse (although I'm pleased to report that my patient is feeling a bit better despite my efforts), but I can make a decent cup of tea. I have to confess though that I wasn't a huge fan of tea until I came to live in France... then the Brit in me kicked in!

My (french) friend visited me this week with her little girl. We were chatting (in french) and looking through some old photos and I came across one of me in my school uniform. I explained that in the UK kids wear uniforms to school (unlike in France). My friend's little girl looked puzzled, so I asked what was wrong... she said "Were you English when you were little?"... too cute!

Ok, we have a new challenge this fortnight at Di's Digi Designs Challenge blog, FALL COLOURS, so any autumnal colours will do just fine! I've created my card using this really cute teddy digi stamp from Di's Digi Downloads called Tea Cup Teddy, isn't she gorgeous? I've kept my card fairly simple. I wanted to keep a lot of the kraft card visible and the card to be unclutterd, the image is so cute I didn't want to distract from it.

We are lucky to have a generous sponsor this fortnight which is Sweet Stamps. Please drop by the challenge blog to find out more details about the challenge, our sponsor and to see the lovely creations the Design Team have made! Oh and thanks so much for your visit here today! xx

A nurse I am not...

Coucou! How are you all today? Hope you had a nice evening last night for Nov 5th, whether you went out to see a firework display, or just stayed in all cosy like me!

Well today I am playing nurse to a very sad looking hubby, he put his back out at work yesterday and is not a happy bunny! He was in rather a bad mood last night {you know when you get the impression that EVERYTHING is your fault... us girls would never be like that ahem}, I was pleased when he got some pills from the doc... in no time he was out like a light! So now he's off sick for a few days and isn't best pleased about it! Maybe I'll get the Dyson out later, when I think he's slept enough ;)

Anyhow, here's a little card I made after being inspired by the challenge over at Little Miss Muffet Challenge, the theme is Fireworks. I've used this super cute stamp called Clover Dancing with Dragonflies, you can find it HERE over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps. I'd also like to enter my card into the challenge at Cute Card Thursday - Fairies & Angels, and Passion For Promarkers - In the Garden.

Right, better go and check on the patient!

Supplies:
Papers - Amy Butler (K & Company)
Flower - Prima

Remember, Remember...

Good evening peeps! Remember, remember the 5th of Nov... yep it's almost Guy Fawkes in the UK... or Bonfire Night as I called it! What I remember about Nov 5th is freezing my bits off waiting for my tatty to cook on the bonfire we had on the local playing field, and the catherine wheel that never spun properly when it was pinned to the garden fence! Obviously, Guy Fawkes isn't celebrated in France, so just a normal day here!

Anyway, just wanted to pop by to share a little card I made for a friend, I've used an explosion of colours {hehe}... it's fairly CAS but I like it. And the little cat says... "Don't forget to keep all pets indoors this Bonfire Night!" Have a good but safe night!

Hugs, Shelly x
