A Christening Wish

I got this lovely stamp from Lili of the Valley and hadn't used it yet, but my friend asked me to do a Christening card so I thought I'd put it to good use! I've used Bev's sketch at LOTV Challenge, it fitted so well with the elements I used on the card. I've used kraft paper and the blue is Stampin Up. 'Noah' is coloured with Promarkers. Tell you what though, what a pain to stick the blue bow down, I used PVA glue but it tends to soak into the ribbon... it stuck eventually after using half a litre of glue (well a bit of an exaggeration there) mostly on my fingers... I didn't use silicone glue as I find it comes through the ribbon and leaves 'greasy' marks. Any handy hints?

What a delightful card Sweetie ! Your friend will be delighted ! The image is really sweet and the lace is gorgeous... Recently I have started using Pinflair glue gel and it works a treat ! You can get it from Joanna Sheen (free p and p worldwide) Lots of hugs and smiles from Catherine

Shelly this is beautiful! The image is so sweet and the ribbon is gorgeous. I know what you mean about the glue though. I tend to only use a small blob on the front of the card and then when i tuck the ribbon underneath the matting i use plenty of glue on the reverse of the card and then hold the ribbon in place with mini pegs until it dries. Usually does the trick! Couldn't cope without my pegs!
Where did you get your metal clip from? I have some i won but can find them anywhere on line.

Wonderful, adorable card Shelly.
I use the really fine red double sided tape, we've always referred to it has ribbon tape. The very thin top row of your lace is about it width. Had a quick look its 3mm wide, I stick it across my card first then stick on the lace.
