Cupcake Craft Challenge #101 Pastel Christmas

Hello, hello! Me again... this time it's another challenge at Cupcake! My super creative teamie Denise has chosen this week's challenge which is 'Pastel Christmas'... gulp she say's... I just can't get the Christmas mojo going in July! Anyway, I came up with this little card, using a Stampavie image and some lovely paper I had in my stash! I'm loving the colours on this card... inspiration from the paper... and I found just the right Promarker colours for the image (Pastel Green, Baby Pink, Lilac).
Our sponsor this week is Papermom, who is kindly offering 3 free digi images to the lucky winner! Go check out the lovely DT work at Cupcake to give you some ideas before you get started!
If you're wondering why I'm quiet and haven't visited any of you lately, well it's because I'm still away, galavanting across the UK! Back with you all soon, until then, thanks for visiting my blog during my absence ;)

The Creative Cottage Challenge - Touchy Feely

Today it's The Creative Cottage Challenge time, and thanks to Becky we're getting all touchy feely this fortnight (yep, the challenges are now fortnightly instead of weekly... gives you more time to work on your creation). We'd love to see your creations with as much touchy feely stuff as possible, embossing, flocked papers, fibres, flowers etc etc... the list goes on! I've used the Baby Ellie & Family digi kit for my card (click on the link to take you to The Creative Cottage Products at Pollycraft), and my touchy feely bits are the embossing, fibres and pearls. Don't forget we now have 2 prizes up for grabs each fortnight! What are you waiting for?

Cupcake Craft Challenge #100 Cats & Dogs

Hello peeps! Well if you're reading this then that'll mean that my scheduled post has worked hooray! Yup, I'm on me hols so have posted this prior to leaving. This week at Cupcake Craft Challenges the lovely and talented Catherine has chosen the theme which is 'CATS & DOGS'... great theme eh! I've used a cute digi image from Bugaboo stamps (I know you're a big fan of these Catherine) called Cool Cat, isn't he fab?! I've coloured him with Promarkers, he was so easy to colour! The papers are ones I've had for a while, they're called 'For Him' and are from Papermania. The sentiment is also from Bugaboo stamps, both the image and setiment were freebies, they have a freebie every friday at Bugaboo stamps! I've added eyelets and brads to add interest (I've had these brads for ages but never found use for them really).

This week we're sponsored by Clip Crop Crafts who are offering one lucky random winner a £10 Gift Voucher to spend in their online shop! But before you get stuck into making your card, get a look at the DT girls' efforts this week, some very cute kitties & pooches!

Home Sweet Home

Phew, what a scorcher it's been today! Hope the sun has been shining where you are! In search of shade this afternoon I decided to do a little card, I've used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers this week. Both the stamps are from Stampavie (Heltz Cuppleditch & Rachelle Anne Miller), isn't this little camper van adorable?! I've coloured it in seventies colours with my Promarkers, to go with the flower power paper (EK Success). Funny, I used to have a dress like this when I was a tot! The blue dotty paper is from Stampin' Up. I'm entering my card into the challenge at Stampavie which is 'Dots'... and Friday Sketchers.

Thanks for popping by! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday afternoon!

Big Surprise, Little Boy!

How cute is this little character? He was part of the big surprise my kind hubby gave me recently, another Lili of the Valley stamp... I just adore these little boy stamps! Anyway, I had to do a card with him pronto, and I thought of the K & Co papers I had in my stash, thought they'd be perfect with the little toys! I've used the sketch over at Sketch Saturday, it's really easy and versatile! My little man is coloured with Promarkers, the sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly.

Well, last night we had thunder & lightning here... we needed it as the temperature yesterday was 40°c... I was just melting in the heat and stayed indoors all day. So today it's a little cooler but so so muggy! When I lived in the UK I was forever complaining that it wasn't sunny enough, now I've got the sun I stay indoors and look for shade! There's no pleasing some people lol! Hope you all enjoy a lovely, sunny weekend (but not too hot)!

My First Criss Cross Pocket Card

Hello peeps! It's been a while since I did a Magnolia card and so thought I'd join in with the challenge over at Just Magnolia, which is to make a Criss Cross Pocket Card, there's a fab tutorial on how to make it here. I followed the tutorial as this is the first card of this sort I've made. I have to admit it took a little while to make getting measurements right (I didn't do exactly the same size as on the tutorial) but I am pleased with the end result ;)

I've coloured Tilda with Promarkers, The sentiment is a Rachelle Anne Miller one from Stampavie, papers are from Papermania, flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, pearls are from Quixotic and finally the lace and ribbon are from my stash.

Well that's all for today, hope you're enjoying the sunshine!

The Creative Cottage Challenge #18 'Anything but a Card'

Today at The Creative Cottage Challenge we'd like to see 'anything but a card' which to me is definately a challenge! I've made a little door hanger for my niece, hope she likes it! The cute star paper is from The Creative Cottage 'Birthday Wishes' digi kit at Pollycraft, such pretty colours! I've used a Martha Steward punch-around-the-page for the border. The little ribbon reads 'Rever' which means 'dream' in French. Here's a close up of the cute image I coloured with Promarkers, it's another one from Di's Digi Downloads...

One lucky winner will win a super prize from The Creative Cottage. Pop ovar and check out the other DT creations, maybe you might just get a few ideas? Hope you can join in with us this week!

How Adorable?

How adorable is this little fella? Hubby bought him for me to cheer me up after my little hospital stay last week, along with some other Lili of the Valley stamps! I was so chuffed I spent all last night sitting colouring them, and thought I'd make a card for Dawny P's sketch challenge over at Lili of the Valley Challenge. If you don't know these stamps then you really must get across and check them out, plus they have an offer on at the minute (although I wish they'd had it on when hubby bought me the stamps as there's sentiments too)!

Obviously the image is Lili of the Valley, coloured with Promarkers. Papers are Stampin' Up, embossing was done on the Cuttlebug, and I added a bit of ribbon, buttons and card candy for good measure. Thanks for popping by today!

Have a Mice Day

Hello again! Just a quick post to share my card second card for today (my Cupcake DT card is below)... I've used a scalloped card and cute Penny Black image that I won in Kath's candy a while ago. I've coloured with Promarkers, I do like my Promarkers. The paper is from a Do Crafts CD. As the image is fairly big I've just added a few pearls and buttons et voila!
The card is for the following challenges:

Thanks for popping by today, have a mice day!

Cupcake Craft Challenge 'World Cup Wonders'

Hello peeps! I'm feeling a little better today, hubby is taking good care of me ;) Thanks so much for your Get Well Wishes, it means a lot!
It's been a while since I blogged and so it's about time I put a new card on my blog and so here it is! This week at Cupcake Craft Challenge it's my turn to choose the theme and so I've gone with 'World Cup Wonders' to correspond with the World Cup Final 2010 on Saturday! Personally I think Germany will win (although as they beat us I don't want them to). Anyway, back to the challenge, I'd like you to do a card or a project with a sporting theme, not just football but any sport you like! This week at Cupcake we're sponsored by Simon Says Stamp who are offering a $20 gift voucher plus free shipping to one lucky random winner. And don't forget that I'll be on the look out to choose my Top 5, can't wait to see what you come up with! Pop over to the Cupcake blog and take a peek at the fab cards the other DT girls have made, and if you have time leave a little comment, we really do appreciate them!

For my card I've used a cute digi image from Di's Digi Downloads called 'On the bench'. I've coloured with Promarkers, used my Cuttlebug to emboss the herring bone pattern, added ribbon from an old medal, a charm, some football brads and some eyelets. The sentiment is from my blogging friend Lyndsey Marie, one of her own designs. I'm entering this card into the challenges at Stamp Something 'Something with the colours of YOUR flag' - mines the Union Jack, I Love Digi 'Emboss It' (sorry to read this challenge blog is ending), Dare U 2 Digi Stamp 'The Great Outdoors' and also the challenge at Meljen's which is RED WITE & BLUE.

Happy Crafting!
