Happy Halloween!

I've had this halloween image for a very long time and have never coloured it... so I thought it was about time! It's an image from Pollycraft (which sadly no longer exsists), one of the Luna Bitterfrost series. I just had the urge to colour those pumpkins! And then I just had to make a card! Hope you likey ;)

I loved Halloween when I was little, my dad would help me to hollow out a turnip to make a lantern (did you know that originally turnips were used to celebrate Halloween, pumpkins appeared when the pagan festival was introduced to North America by the Irish and Scottish immigrants). I remember it always being windy and my lantern would blow out all the time (yep we used candles in those days, not torches)! Here in France Halloween isn't celebrated much, shame as I really looked forward to it as a kid! So for those celebrating Halloween, have fun!

Haunted House for Di's Digi Designs Challenge

Well it's a bright but chilly morning here... the kind of weather I love in autumn (not grey and damp as it's been for the last fortnight). My mojo is still inexistant, and on top of that I spent the day in bed yesterday with a sickness bug and migraine. I'm feeling a lot better today, the migraine has gone but I won't stay too long on the pc just in case ;)

Today we have a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenge, which is easy peasy... ANYTHING HALLOWEEN!! I'm saying it's easy, but I REALLY struggled with my card, I didn't feel inspired and hence I'm not happy with my creation. I totally love the image called Background Haunted House from Di's Digi Downloads, but could I heck do it justice! So my creation is rather CAS, not what I wanted to create at all. If you pop by the challenge blog, you'll see that the other DT girls have made fabulous Halloween creations! Feeling Blue...

Hello peeps!

I've been fairly absent in Blogland recently... I just can't seem to get the old mojo back! Maybe it's something to do with the weather... when I got up this morning it was so dark... remember to put your clocks BACK an hour this weekend! Another reason my mojo has gone is because I lost a friend a few weeks ago to cancer... 

Anyway, as I haven't posted many cards lately (mainly because I haven't made many) I thought I'd share the sympathy card I made for my friend's family, I never know what to make when it comes to sympathy cards so I kept this one very simple...

Two's Company

Hello! Hope you all had a lovely weekend... the rain never stopped here, it was wet and miserable! The only good thing about miserable weather is that it's the ideal excuse to stay indoors and craft!

Well it's Cupcake Craft Challenge time, and this week it's my turn to pick our theme... Too Cute to Spook

Hello folks! It's done nothing but rain all week and I'm sick of it!

On a positive note though, it's perfect weather for crafting. So if you fancy a challenge, we have the theme TOO CUTE TO SPOOK over at Di's Digi Designs Challenge this fortnight. Contented Cat

Good morning! It's decidedly autumnal weather here today... and the dark nights are definately closing in! Brrr!

I just thought I'd share a quick, simple card I made recently, I like having one or two of these sort of cards ready if I need one in a hurry. The image is from Digi Stamp Boutique, I just love the contented look on the cat's face... in fact my cat who is curled up on a chair next to me has the very same look!

To be honest I have been struggling a little with my crafting lately, my motivation (not only for crafting) has started playing hide & seek! I'd better find it soon... maybe I should buy some new stash? Hmmm...

Did you see the sequins & sparkles on Strictly last night? I was never really a big Westlife fan and didn't even know who Nicky Byrne was (bad I know), but I did sit up and take notice last night, that bum in those trousers...

Well, I have a PILE of housework to do {yawn} so I'd better give myself a kick up the behind! Enjoy the weekend and thanks for visiting today!
