The Creative Cottage Challenge #16 Pearls & Swirls

Good evening! Well firstly congrats to the England footie team who've just qualified for the next round of the World Cup by the skin of their teeth...I didn't see the game but I know we won 1-0.

Ok, it's time for another Creative Cottage Challenge, but firstly I'd just like to say thanks to all the people who joined in with my challenge last week over at The Creative Cottage! There were some lovely 'pairs' and I had a hard time choosing my favourites! This week Suzie has set the theme and she would like to see 'pearls and swirls' on your cards/paper craft projects.

For my card I've used the Summer Mornings and Sunny Days paper packs from The Creative Cottage, you can find them over at Pollycraft. The image is a stamp from Wild Rose Studio, coloured with Promarkers. I've added a little sentiment, some flowers and of course some lovely pearls! I'm entering my card into the challenge at Simon Says Stamp 'You Gotta Have Friends' and also Passion For Promarkers 'Your Favourite Things'... guess what I just love cats!

Cupcake Craft Challenge # 96 Strawberries & Cream

Hello peeps! To celebrate the start of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships we have a super theme this week over at Cupcake Craft Challenge... 'Strawberries & Cream'! You can interpret this either through colour or images... I've gone for the colour option on my very girly card! Good morning peeps! Well last night France got beat by Mexico in the World Cup (sorry Catherine) so things are looking a bit gloomy here, the dull weather isn't helping either! So, I thought I'd post a nice bright summery card, it's one I've done using the lovely sketch from Dawny P over at Lili Of The Valley Challenge. I've used this super cute LOTV stamp... I adore this image. It's been coloured with Promarkers (just for a change lol). The papers are My Minds Eye 'Bloom & Grow' and the flowers are Prima. The little cat sentiment is a stamp I've coloured from Cuddly Buddly. A bit of ribbon and a few pearls finish it all off. My card also works for the challenge at A Spoon Full Of Sugar 'Enjoying the Sunshine'

Well tonight it's England's turn to show they're worthy of a place in the World Cup... although I do hope Mr Green (if he's playing) forgets to rub butter on his hands before he goes onto the pitch! Come On England!

The Creative Cottage Challenge - It Takes Two

Hello! This week at The Creative Cottage Challenge it was my turn to pick the theme, so I've chosen 'It Takes Two'... a card and something to match! This could be a gift tag, gift bag, bookmark... the choice is yours! For my card and bookmark I've used paper from the 'Sherbet Just For You' digi kit and letters from the 'Something Sweet' digi kit. The image is a Sugar Nellie 'Cheddar' coloured with Promarkers. I'm entering my card into The Sugar Bowl Challenge which is a fab sketch! Flowers and Showers

Hello, me again! Can you believe that I've managed to post two cards today... I can't! This one is hot off the press... just did it this afternoon during a huge thunder storm! It's so lovely and green and fresh outside now the sun has come out! Anyway I was looking through my stamps and came across this little bear, it reminded me of the weather today, and I hadn't used this for ages so thought what the heck! Both the bear stamp and the sentiment stamp are both Penny Black, the paper is Dovecraft (from ages ago). I've added some raffia and ribbon, the pearls are new ones I just got (bottom ones are green but hard to see on photo) and the flower is a die-cut I found in my stash (I doodled on it and added a pearl). So there you have it! I'm gonna enter this card for the following challenges...

Cupcake Craft Challenge #95 'One for the Boys

Good morning! Today at Cupcake Craft Challenge my fellow DT member Kathrin has chosen a super challenge for those who haven't yet done their Father's Day card... it's called 'One for the Boys'. You can make a Father's Day card, or just simply a card for a boy or a man. I've done one for my nephew's Birthday... I've used a super digi from Di's Digi Downloads called 'Ipod Max', coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from a free CD with Do Crafts magazine (first time I've used this and it's not bad... should've checked it out sooner). I've added a corner (Sizzix) and buttons for a bit of detail and the sentiment is from Papermania. I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges...

The Creative Cottage Challenge #14 - Going PINK!

Going PINK is the challenge this week over at The Creative Cottage Challenge Blog! My fellow DT member Rebekah chose the theme for this week's challenge as she's running the Race for Life on Sunday to help raise cancer awareness... if you have time please pop by her blog to give her some encouragement! Hope all goes well for you on Sunday Rebekah! The winner of this week's challenge will be able to chose a Creative Cottage product of their choice from The Creative Cottage Shop at Pollycraft.

For my card I just had to use my new stamp from Kraftin Kimmie called 'Perfect Poison' ... what a little minx she looks! I've coloured her with Promarkers and used digi papers from the Party Nights Paper Pack and the Little Monkeys Pirate Adventure digi kit, both from The Creative Cottage. I just love the little skull and cross bones paper, one of my faves for sure! The ribbon is Doodlebug, and the sentiment and small images are also from the Perfect Poison stamp set. I've added a touch of glitter to her potion... bubble bubble toil and trouble lol!

I'm entering my card into three challenges... Kraftin Kimmie Challenge ' Tricky Triangles' as I've used the two large triangles in the layout, Passion For Promarkers Challenge 'Pink Birthday' and Stamp Something 'Digi Day Challenge'.

Cupcake Craft Challenge #94 Dazzle Us

Good morning, can you believe it's June already... where is this year going? This weekend I was invited to a BBQ and the weather was so nice to us... we finished the night off by candlelight until well into the early hours! It's lovely to be able to sit outside and make the most of the long summer evenings (just wish I didn't have to go to work the next day).

Well, at Cupcake Craft Challenge this we my DT buddie Denise has asked you all to 'Dazzle Us'... yep that's the challenge so get all your sparkly bits out... pearls, gems, beads, glitter etc... a great excuse to go all out on the bling! I've made my easel card using a Lili of the Valley stamp 'Thomas the cat', he's a real cutie don't you think? I coloured him with Promarkers and added some shimmer to the flowers. Then a few beads, sparkly butterfly and flower to add a touch more bling! The inside sentiment is from Paper Make Up stamps and the paper is from Stampin Up. I'm entering my card into a few challenges; Lili Of the Valley Challenge is a sketch by Bev, Colour Create would like to see 'Baby Pink & Pastel Blue' on your creation and Totally Papercrafts want to see 'more than one fold'.

The Creative Cottage Challenge #13 'Happy Father's Day'

Good morning all! Well, I thought I'd better do this post in advance as time is of an essence of late... so it's actually Tues eve as I'm scheduling this to go live NOW! I'm really struggling to keep on top of things at the moment and seem to have less and less time to craft and blog, it's frustrating as I have some lovely new goodies that my thoughtful hubby bought me and I haven't had the chance to use them! I also feel that I've neglected my blogging buddies too... I apologise for not visiting you all more often!

Anyhow, I've managed to do my DT card for The Creative Cottage Challenge... this week Linda has chosen 'Happy Father's Day' as the theme! I've used digi papers from The Creative Cottage (With Love kit & Summer Mornings kit), as well as the digi corners (Daisy Chain Farm kit). If you check out The Creative Cottage blog you'll see some of these papers in the fab candy up for grabs! The image is a new Penny Black Slapstick stamp called 'Hoppy day', coloured with Promarkers. The little bird and ladybird are also from a Penny Black stamp... the first one I ever bought called 'In a Pot'. The sentiment reads "Wonderful Dad' in French, it's for my FIL. I'm entering this into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week which is 'In the Garden' and also the I Love Digi Challenge 'For My Dad'.

Cupcake Craft Challenge #93 - Summer Delights

Good morning peeps! It's been over a week since I last blogged, I'm finding it very difficult at the moment as there's just not enough time in the day! I also haven't had time to do any crafting which is why my DT card for Cupcake Craft Challenge is a day late this week! If only I could win the lottery lol ;)

Anyway, the theme over at Cupcake has been chosen by the lovely and super talented Catherine, you really must pop by her blog to say hello! Catherine has chosen 'Summer Delights' for the challenge, and so we'd like to see what summer means for you... gardening... holidays... barbeques... beach... and maybe some sun too! You can interpret this how you wish (colours, content etc)... but your creation must have a something related to summer on it. Once again my fellow DT buddies have done some super cards, take a peek as they're sure to inspire you! For my card I've used a new stamp from Kraftin Kimmie called Florence... I wish I looked as good as she does on the beach lol!
