Cupcake Challenge #92 Black & Grey Plus...

One other color! That's the challenge this week over at Cupcake Craft Challenges, set by the talented Victoria! We've been sponsored by Stitchy Stamps, who kindly supplied the DT with images, I chose this fab George and the Dragon image! I've coloured the image with Promarkers and have layered it up to add interest. Red is my other colour, I think this colour really makes a statement when used with black & grey. There's a fab prize of 3 digi stamps for one lucky winner, so what are you waiting for!? Don't forget to check out the other DT cards, lots of creative inspiration for you!

I have to say thank you to all the people that entered my challenge last week, there were so many fabulous cards & creations I really had a hard time choosing a Top 5! I'd also like to thank everyone for leaving lovely comments on my blog, I feel as though I'm neglecting you all but there just isn't enough hours in the day at the minute! Hope you understand as I shall be pretty much absent again this week...hopefully I'll be back next week to visit you all! Thanks for understanding!

The Creative Cottage Challenge #11 - One for the Boys

Hello! It's Wednesday already so time for The Creative Cottage Challenge. This week our theme is 'One for the Boys'. Fairly self explanitory really, we'd like you to make a card or craft project for a special boy (big or small)! You don't have to use Creative Cottage products, but if you do that's great! We'd love to see what you come up with and for one lucky winner there's a 'Forest Friends' paper pack up for grabs! The papers and image I've used on my card come from The Creative Cottage 'Little Monkeys Pirate Adventure kit'... I just love the skull & cross bones! I've also added some black pearls, some garden twine and a fab charm from Quixotic. The sentiment was done using Doodlebug rub-ons and a white gel pen. The other DT girls have done some really fab cards so pop over and check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Cupcake Craft Challenge #91 & Some Strawberries!

Hello and Good Morning! It's Monday once again and as I was working this weekend I have the day off! The weather is being kind as the sun is shining but there's still a chill in the air, maybe I'll get to do a bit gardening later today? Monday of course means Cupcake Craft Challenge, and this week it's my turn to choose the theme so I've gone for 'Blooming Charming'... you have to use at least one flower and one charm on your card or creation. Here is my interpretation, it's for my MIL for Mother's Day (which is on 30th May in France)...

The stamps I've used are from Crafter's Companion, Beatrix Potter Mrs Tiggy Winkle collection. My hubby bought these for me at Easter and I haven't used them until now... he said that Mrs Tiggy Winkle had suffercated in the plastic bag as she hadn't seen the light of day! So I just had to rescue her... hence my card! She's coloured with Promarkers, the apers are K&Co and the ribbon, lace etc is from my stash. We have another great sponsor this week at Cupcake, Lauretta's Digi Stamps, who is kindly offering a prize to one lucky random winner! Pop over to the Cupcake blog to check out the other DT creations!

I'm entering this card for three challenges... Sweet Stampin 'Get Personal', Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge 'Metal' and Stamp Something 'Celebrate Something'.

Ok, how about some strawberries? Oh and maybe some yummy ice cream too? My second card for today is one I made using my brand new Penny Black stamp 'Break for Cake'...

I just love this cute little image... which incidentally fits nicely with the challenge at Passion for Promarkers - 'Strawberries & Cream' and the Penny Black Saturday Challenge - 'Flowers'. I've coloured with Promarkers and added some pearls, flowers (made using Woodware Daisy Punch and Card Candy) and ribbon from my stash. The sentiment is from the 'Bubbly' clear set by Penny Black, and I've used my Martha Stewart punch-around-the-page set for the scalloped edge to the card. So there you have it, roll on summer with strawberries & cream!

Sparkly Sunday

Good morning peeps! Well it's a lovely sunny Sunday morning here, a bit chilly but hey we can't have everything! I thought I'd get out some of my old stash and make a card as I felt a bit guilty really that I don't often put it to good use! Anyone else like me? Anyway, I've used the sketch over at The Sugar Bowl, which is a fab one from Marlene with circles. I thought I'd go all out with the bling so have added lots of pearls, glitter and sparkly bits! I've reused the pearls and butterfly from another project, as the theme over at The Sugar Bowl (along with the sketch) is Recycling. The stamp is a Sugar Nellie (forgot how much I like this bear) which I've coloured with Distress Inks - (yep you heard right - not Promarkers). The sentiment is from a Daisy & Dandelion clear stamp from Papermania. I thought I'd enter my card into two other challenges: Papertake Weekly Challenge - Shiny, Sparkly & Special and also ABC Challenge - U for Unused Stash. Well that's all for today as off to work soon... hope you all enjoy your Sunday!

The Shortest Distance Between Hearts

Today I've had a go at doing something a little different (for me anyway)... a card with no image. I bought a pack of clear sentiment stamps from Hero Arts a little while ago and have never had them out of the pack, so I thought why not try making a card with the sentiment as the focal point. I'm fairly pleased with the result :) I've also used the Photo Inspiration over at Basic Grey Challenges, it's where I got the fab idea for the string of hearts. I made the template for the hearts and drew around it a few times then cut out the shapes. All the stitching is faux... I'm too lazy to go to the trouble of getting my sewing machine out etc! All the papers are Basic Grey (Cupcake & Sugared), and I've added a few pearls, roses and rafia to embellish. Fairly simple but I like it, just have to decide who to send it to now :)

Matt & Cookie On Skateboard

Hiya peeps! I'm in a really happy mood this evening as it's Bank Holiday in France and I've spent the day crafting... at long last hooray! I've managed to catch up on some DT work, I've done three cards today, this one is for my little nephew who will be 9 in a few weeks (I am organised sometimes). This cute digi image is called 'Matt & Cookie on Skateboard' and is from Di's Digi Downloads, how cute! Di has lots of cute digi images for all sorts of occassions so why not pop over and take a little peek?! I have a feeling I'll be doing more cards with these little rascals! Here's a little close up of the image...

I've coloured with Promarkers, the 'Pawprint' paper is a freebie from Squigglefly, I've used my Martha Stewart Zig Zag border punch, have added a charm, buttons and brads and finally the sentiment which is from Cuddly Buddly has been layered using several SU & Woodware punches. I'm going to enter this card into the following challenges:

My Time to Craft - Too Cute

Little Red Wagon Challenge - Brads

Cute Card Thursday - Someone Special

Stampin' for the Weekend - A Card for a Male

Pile it on Challenge - Cute & Cuddly (that little puppy ahhh)

Well that's all from me for tonight! Thanks for popping by!

The Creative Cottage Challenge #10 - Fancy Fold

Hello to all my blogging friends! Sorry I've been a bad blogger lately, I just haven't had a minute to get round all your blogs to say hello... I shall try my best to pop by before the end of the week! The only excuse I have is work... I seem to live there at the moment!

It's challenge #10 over at The Creative Cottage Challenge and this week the theme is 'Fancy Fold'! Well I have to tell you this took me out of my comfort zone of square cards yikes... I was stumped at first then remembered I had a little 'Milk Carton Template' from Papermania and thought it would make a cute sweetie box. Great, but once I'd made the box I just didn't know how to embellish it, and I didn't want to cover the lovely paper I used from The Creative Cottage 'Bella Ballerina' digi kit. I printed the design onto 250gsm smooth white card and then made the box up from that. Anyway, I've gone for a less is more approach and just added a bit of sticky ribbon, a cute flower and charm, and a mini tag. I thought it'd be a sweet little gift to give to my friend's little girl. I have to admit though, I did eat one or two of the sweeties when I was taking the photo, there just seemed too many for the composition to look right lol :)

This week there's a lovely prize up for grabs, the 'Bags of Style' digi kit from The Creative Cottage. If you pop over to the blog you'll see that my fellow DT buddies Linda and Teri have used this kit in their creations, and then there's all the other lovely cards and projects from the rest of the Design Team to feast your eyes on! Hope you can join in the fun!
I thought I'd enter my box into the 'Metal Mania' challenge at Fab 'n Funky this week as I have a metal charm.

Cupcake Craft Challenge - Buttons

Hi peeps! Doesn't Monday come around quickly!? Well, it's time for the Cupcake Craft Challenge again and this week the theme is 'Buttons', chosen by the talented Liza! So obviously we'd like to see you using multiples of buttons on your cards/projects. We're sponsored this week by Digital Delights, who kindly gave the DT some digi images to work with... I chose this cute scottie dog! He's coloured with Promarkers, my paper is from The Creative Cottage 'Christmas Wishes' digi kit (thought it fitted the Scottish theme well) and the buttones/ribbon are all from my stash. I've used a Martha Stewart punch along the bottom of the card to give it a little interest. Don't forget there's a prize for one lucky winner, and we'll be choosing the Top 5 as usual so why not have a go?! Hope you can join in with us this week!
I'm entering my card into the Totally Papercrafts Challenge which is stitching (I've done faux as my sewing machine is collecting dust lol).

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Reaches 100

Hi folks! I've just arrived home from work and thought I'd say a quick hello! I've a little card to share with you, which is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. They have a super sketch by Kath, very clever as if you look carefully you can make out the number 100! This is to celebrate their 100th challenge, and as this was the very first challenge I took part in I just had to make a card. I've used papers from Basic Grey (Cupcake)... these are fab for birthday cards! The image is of course Penny Black coloured with Promarkers, and the birthday sentiment is from Papermania! I'm also entering this card for the challenge at Stamp Something as it's Birthday Somethings and Cute Card Thursday which is 'Boyz to Men'. Well, I did say it was a quick hello so that's it from me... have a lovely Sunday evening! Thanks for popping by!

Friends Forever

It's Friday already and I just don't know where the time has gone... I wish I could work part-time as I never seem to have a minute to myself these days! You may (or may not) have noticed that I tend to only put my DT cards on my blog, not through choice but lack of time :( However I was eager to use one of my new images from Di at Di's Digi Downloads, as I was chosen last week to be part of her DT. Here's the card I made...

I've used the 'Friends Forever' digi image, aren't these two so sweet?! It's coloured with Promarkers, still my fave colouring medium! The papers are from Dovecraft, sentiment is from a clear Woodware stamp set, embossing is using Cuttlebug (Morrocan Screen), the butterfly is from Papermania and the ribbon and felt flowers are from my stash. Here's a little close up of the cute image...

I've used the sketch by Denise at Stamp Something, it's a good one! Hope I'm not too late to enter the challenge, last minute as always! I'm also entering in The Secret Crafter Challenge which is Friendship, the challenge at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp which is Anything Goes and finally the Sweet Stampin Challenge where you have to do a summer project (hence the flowers and butterfly) . Well, that's it for today, back to work in an hour or so, better get cracking with a few jobs! Thanks to all my blogging friends for the wonderful support and comments... I feel as though I'm neglecting you all at the mo!

The Creative Cottage Challenge #9 Food & Drink

It's challenge time again over at The Creative Cottage and this week we're feeling a little peckish... well I'm trying to diet (more like stop eating rubbish) but we'd like to see 'Food &/or Drink' on your creations this week! I've used a little Penny Black stamp, one of the Slapstick ones, coloured with Promarkers. My paper is from The Creative Cottage 'Come Rain or Shine' digi kit, lovely and bright don't you think? The ribbon is Doodlebug, which I stamped on with Staz On ink using a Woodware clear stamp. I've added the little button flowers etc for a bit of extra detail. I'm entering my card into the challenge at Simon Says Stamp which is Birthdays/Celebrations as they're celebrating their 1st blogaversary!

Don't forget you can use any products for the challenge, but we love seeing your Creative Cottage creations too! The other DT girls have come up with some extra yummy cards for this challenge so pop over to the challenge blog and take a peek, don't forget to say hi! There's a prize for one lucky winner too! Oh, and if that's not enough there's a fabulous freebie out this month, so what are you waiting for?

Cupcake Craft Challenge #89 - All The 3's

Good morning blogging friends! For those of you living in the UK, I hope you're having a relaxing Bank Holiday weekend (I'm so so jealous cos we don't have Bank Hol Mon here in France)! That's something that I really miss about home :( I used to love having a long weekend!

Anyway, as it's Monday, then it's time for the Cupcake Craft Challenge and this week the challenge has been set by the talented Kathrin who has chosen 'All the 3's' as the theme. We'd like to see cards or projects with 3 flowers, 3 papers and 3 ribbons. I really enjoyed this challenge and went to town with the pastels this week, not to mention my little Tilda who was feeling rather neglected of late! I've used Michele's sketch over at Passion for Promarkers and made my own flowers using my Woodware Daisy Punches and brads as centres. Tilda is of course coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from my stash... these were the very first papers I bought! The sentiment is from a Studio G set, I thought it went well with the image. To be honest this little character kinda reminds me of myself when I was younger... bit of a tomboy but I loved to skip! I'm also entering my card in the Cute Card Thursday challenge which is 'make your own'... in my case flowers.

The challenge this week is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp, one lucky random winner will receive a $20 gift voucher plus free shipping! There's some scrummy things in their shop so you won't have any trouble spending this!

Check out the other DT cards for inspiration, as always the girls have come up trumps!
