Birthdays at Di's Digi Designs

Hi everyone! It's the weekend... yay! And every other Saturday you know it means that we have a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenge blog! Today it's easy peasy... BIRTHDAYS! Here's my DT card...

The cute image is called SUNFLOWER DAISY, just click on the link to find her over at Di's Digi Stamps. Now I've gone the recycled route on my card... the image was already printed a while back, the papers are from my scrap box and the flower is one I've had forever! The Penny Black sentiment is also one of my early stamp purchases too! So don't write off your old stash... sometimes you can find a little treasure in there!

Today's Recipe...

Hey! How are things going? Are you feeling a little down as the Summer starts to draw to an end... I am! The sun is still shining here, but there's a definate nip in the air first thing in the morning {sigh}

I have a recipe for you today... card recipe that is ;) Well actually it's the lovely Nic's recipe from Passion for Promarkers Challenge, here's my card using the RECIPE (1 image, 1 sentiment, 3 papers and 3 embellishments)...

Now, as you know I'm a bit of a CAS girl, so my 3 embellishments are the same, just there's 3 of them (pearls)! You can also interpret the recipe by using 3 different embellishments, as you wish! Check out the other lovely DT girls' creations and you'll see what I mean. Our kind sponosr this week is Bugaboo Stamps, who are giving away some of their fab digi stamps to one lucky winner!

Hello... I have been a bad blogger recently... LIFE is getting in the way of blogging and crafting at the mo!

BUT... I am here to share the fantastic news that we have a new Pollycraft release at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and it's CUTE! Here is my card using Swings 'n Slides mermaid...

Told you she was a cutie! I coloured her up with Flexmarkers and Trias... and I have now put glitter on her but took the picture before I had the idea to add the glitter... DOH! I found the sentiment on the net... definately to remind myself and make me feel better! The bubbles and seaweed are doodled and coloured with Derwent Coloursoft Pencils. Finally I added a couple of pearls to finish.

Sweet Hearts...

Hello! Hope you all had a nice weekend... I've spent time out on my road bike that hubby bought for me last year... I did almost 100km last week! I intend to keep it up as I really want to get fitter (and lose some weight)!

I just love this cutie... she reminds me of the Strawberry Shortcake doll I had when I was little! I coloured her with Promarkers and teamed her up with some old digi papers from The Creative Cottage. The sweet sentiment is also part of the new release! Sugary sweet!

Wow, we're having some really scorching weather here at the moment... I wish I had a swimming pool in my garden! Maybe I should go out and buy myself a paddling pool... I really am a big kid!

Today we have a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenge... STITCH IT UP... we want to see real or faux stitching on your projects. Here's my DT card...

I've used the ever so sweet Seaside Ted... you can find him and lots of other digi stamps over at Di's Digi Downloads! Also check by Di's Digi Stamps website for lots more of Di's gorgeous stamps! I've coloured Ted using my Promarkers, and added bits and bobs I found lurking in my craft room to give the card a more seadise feel to it! For the stitching, I used my pokey tool then stitched through the holes by hand.

Good morning!

Three days in a row for me this week... I seriously need to tidy my craftroom after all this card making! Anyway, today my card is for the new Little Miss Muffet Challenge, AWAY WITH THE FAIRIES. Now we all love a fairy image, so there's no excuse not to join in. Here's my card...

Again, it's very CAS, not much fuss going on here! The image looks a little bluer than in RL but the photo software wasn't playing nicely when I tried to adjust it!
