To Die For...

...is our new challenge over at Passion For Promarkers! Yep, we'd like to see you use at least one die cut or punched item on your projects. I've used this lovely Spring Border die from Memory Box, cut from kraft cardstock. I have to admit, I have one or two dies (ahem ok that's a conservative count) but either don't know how to use them on my cards, or just can't seem to get them to 'fit'. I managed, just, with this one! The card is very CAS, I didn't want too much distraction from the sweet mice!

Hope you can join in the challenge, we are kindly sponsored by Whiff of Joy who are offering a  lovely stamp for this week's prize! And if you need more inspiration, pop by the Passion for Promarkers blog, there's lots to see!

The Little Mermaid

Good morning all!

Finally I got to spend some time in my craft room over the weekend... it's been a while since I had a good crafting session... I can tell by my DT card I made for Cupcake, I went all out on the embellishments and stuck on anything and everything! Our theme this week at Cupcake Craft Challenge, chosen by our lovely cupcake mummy Faye, is ALL AT SEA! We'd like to see something to do with water; the seaside, fishing, nautical colours etc.

For my card I used a stamp that I've had for like, forever, and have never used! Shock horror! How many of us are guilty of that one? This little mermaid is of course from Kraftin' Kimmie, and to be honest I really don't know why I haven't inked her up before. I enjoyed colouring her and creating this little underwater scene. And I definately didn't skimp on the sparkle! I embossed the background paper just to give it a little more texture and interest.

We are kindly sponsored by Marianne Design who are giving away this super bundle of goodies to our lucky, random winner...
Hope you can play along with us this week... happy crafting!

I'd like to enter my card for the challenge at:

Supplies:

Anything But Square

First of all I must say thank you for all your lovely comments, I'm sorry I haven't been round to visit you all, life has been pretty hectic lately and I've had family staying with me for almost 2 weeks, so blogging and crafting has had to take a back seat.

So I'm back today with my DT card for the new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenge...
Our theme for this fortnight is ANYTHING BUT SQUARE... nice and easy!
For my card I've used the cute On The Bench digi stamp from Di's Digi Stamps, I just love his little dog! I made the circle shape card by drawing around a tin and cutting it out carefully. It's been ages since I did a boy card, so I really enjoyed adding stars etc! We have a prize up for grabs from our generous sponsor, Creations by AR, and you can also some win some of Di's digi stamps, if you use one of her images on your creation. Pop by the challenge blog for all the details!
Right, better get cracking with the washing and cleaning... it was lovely having my family here but now I need to catch up on all the usual stuff! Laters...

The DT girls have created some really lovely projects to inspire you, pop over to the challenge blog and take a peek!

I often use buttons, but mainly single ones or in twos or threes, so today I've challenged myself to use LOTS of buttons! And I have to say I really like how this card turned out... especially the button number 2! I've embraced colour too... and lots of it! Of course this little cutie is from Saturated Canary, she's just so adorable! I really like Krista's digis, but only have a few at the moment... not sure if that'll last :)

Could you resist a cuddle?

Ahhh, aren't these two just so sweet? I love this Penny Black stamp and hardly ever use it... bad me! But as my teamie Donna over at Cupcake Craft Challenge had the wisdom to choose CUTE & CUDDLY as this week's theme, then I just had to dust this little stamp off  and get the old Memento ink out! Yep, anything cute and cuddly will suffice this week if you fancy joining us for a cupcake! Our sponsor this week is My Mum's Craft Shop, who are kindly offering a £10 Gift Voucher to our lucky, random winner! ANd if you take a peek at the Cupcake blog, you'll see all the fab creations my teamies have made!

Now, my bears look like they've been Tangoed, or maybe they're extras on TOWIE, but I promise you, they're not that orange in real life! But they are very CAS... again!

I made my card for my Dad (obviously seeing as it says "Happy Birthday Dad" on it, doh)... he's recently taken up drawing so I thought this cute Bearicelli digi stamp from Di's Digi Stamps was just perfect! Little Miss Muffet & Simply B Stamps Tea Party Release Day 2 - My Tutorial

Hi again peeps :) WARNING... this is a photo heavy post!

Today is day 2 of the new Tea Party Release over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and Simply B Stamps, and like yesterday we have lots going on! Pop by the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog for all the yummy details!
As for me, today I have a little tutorial to share with you, showing how to make an easy DIY border for your cards or scrapbook pages. I did this using mini cupcake stamps, but you could also do it on your PC using some of the fab new Little Miss Muffet Digital Stamps like the yummy cake ones! Here goes:
Firstly, these are the materials I used (if you do your border on the PC you won't need the stamps and ink, just the digital stamps, a photo editing programme or something like Word, and a printer):
Stamp out (or arrange on the PC) the cakes in the order you want them to appear:
Make sure that you have enough cakes to go across the size of your card base (or scrapbook page):
Using your chosen colouring materials (I've used Letraset Flexmarkers), colour in the cakes to match your card colours:
These are the Flexmarker colours I've used for my border:
Once you've finished colouring, carefully cut around your cake border:
Finally, attach the border to your card or scrapbook page using foam pads or silicone glue to give it a little dimension! And that's it! Here's my finished card:
Thanks so much for sticking with me, now pop by the Little Miss Muffet Blog or Simply B Stamps Blog to see the other tutorials and all the details of the fab prizes up for grabs! I hope this was useful for some of you :)

Fantasy, Fairies and Food (or rather lack of it)...

Good morning! Did you all have a lovely Easter?
We have a new challenge over at Passion For Promarkers today, FANTASY... so get out those fairies, monsters etc... we wanna see them ALL! We're generously sponsored by Letraset, so pop by the challenge blog to see all the info about the prize and take a peek at the rest of the DT creations!

Now, I am partial to the odd fairy, and this little sweetie was one I bought last year from Pollycraft, isn't she a darling? I've coloured her with Flexmarkers. She was crying out for a bit of doodling, which I added, but I didn't know what else to add... you can't put flowers in the sky, right? So I drew a sun and a little bird to keep her company, I find myself doing this more and more as I just get stuck and don't know what embellies to add. Anyway I think she turned out ok, and I just love the sentiment... speaking of which brings me to my next topic... FOOD!

Ok, I'm on a diet... yeah I know not great timing what with Easter but well, needs must! It's going ok (ish) but I am struggling from time to time (I've been on it 2 weeks). To be honest, I didn't think I was eating much in the way of calories but I couldn't shift any weight... yeah well do you know how many calories are in a packet of Fox's Crunch Creams?!! Yeah... I know! So anyway, I am counting calories... the weather will (eventually) get nicer and I need to fit into my summer clothes so...

If you want the rainbow, you've gotta put up with the rain!
