Monster Pants Wishes Pollycraft Farewell

Just wanted to share this adorable monster with you all today! As you may have read on one of my previous posts, Paula at Pollycraft has decided to close down her online store after 6 years... she will be having a little baby very soon so won't have much time on her hands. Paula recently posted a farewell link up party on the Pollycraft blog, explaining that she would like us to share creations made with Pollycraft images... hence my monster card. He's called Monster Pants... Paula has kindly offered him for free (you can find him on the Pollycraft blog). There are no prizes, the Farewell Link Up Party is just for fun, but it'd be a nice way to remember Pollycraft. You can link new or old creations, it's entirely up to you!

I have to say I am sad that Pollycraft is closing, Paula's images are gorgeous, her artwork is just fantastic! So as there is a special offer on at the moment, an absolute BARGAIN, I ordered myself a few digi stamps from Pollycraft. Expect to see more cards from me soon with these cute images! Pollycraft closes on June 8th, so if you want to grab some of these fab digis, you'd better be quick!

Maybe Paula will decide to re-open Pollycraft sometime in the future? I hope so ;)

Queen For A Day

Wow there's lots going on in the UK in the next few months, not least the Queen's Diamond Jubilee! And this week at Cupcake Craft Challenge, Keeley has chosen a fabulous theme in keeping with the upcoming events... ROYALTY! An ideal opportunity to get your gems and pearls out... as you can see I haven't skimped on the bling! Not my usual type of card... but I did enjoy piling on all that sparkles and shimmers! All individually stuck on too... what was I thinking? The flower is made by twisting organza ribbon and sticking it to a circle of card (I'd advise using a glue gun for this as I didn't and it rapidly became unstuck!!!). The pearls in the centre of the flower are sew on.

We are sponsored this week by Some Odd Girl and The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop, who have some fab prizes up for grabs... check out the Cupcake blog for all the details. While you're there take a peek at the other DT creations... I'm sure even the Queen would love them!

Thanks for popping by,

Pollycraft is closing down... how sad

Hiya peeps!

Well I just popped by the Pollycraft store to take a peek and I was sad to read that it will be closing down. I don't have a big collection of Pollycraft images, but what I do have I love! Paula is closing Pollycraft on the 8th June and is currently having a closing down sale with lots of great bargains to be had. I for one will definately be topping up my Pollycraft collection... it'll be a real shame that they're no longer available.

So today's card is one that I'd like to dedicate to Pollycraft, the image is called 'Maurice on the ball'... he's come in very useful for male cards in my house! You can find him at Pollycraft, but not for much longer :( I'd just like to wish all the best to Paula at Pollycraft... your designs will be a huge miss in the crafting world.

On a different note I just noticed that my Bright & Blingy card was chosen in the Top 5 at Passion For Promarkers... thanks girls!

Take care

Bright and Blingy

You're gonna need your sunglasses on to look at todays card! I've gone all out with the bright colours, and have added glitter glue to the background paper for extra sparkle! Why? Well this fortnight at Di's Digi Designs Challenge we'd like to see you BLING IT UP! So that means lots of sparkle and shine, glitter, gems, charms, sequins etc... get the picture?!

My cute image is called Izzy's Flower Wagon, you can find it and loads of other really cute digi stamps at Di's Digi Downloads. I've added a little sparkle to the flowers in her wagon too if you look closely. We're sponsored by Joanna Sheen who is giving away a £10 voucher to spend in her online store... oh I just love that store!!! I buy all my Promarkers from there! Please pop by the challenge blog to see all the other DT cards, the girls have been really busy!

Thanks for popping by and have a fab weekend!

Simply No Design Paper Birthday

Hello, hello!
Did you watch the final of Britain's Got Talent? I was pleased to see Ashley & Pudsey win, there's a real connection between the two! Definately worthy winners! That little dog must love his mistress so much, and she obviously dotes on him! To be honest there were a few good acts, not to mention The Loveable Rogues... I'd definately buy their album! Someone will sign them up...

Ok, it's Cupcake Craft Challenge day, and this week the adorable Delphine would like to see 'Birthday Creations with NO designer paper'... now there's a challenge for you! I've used my Cuttlebug embossing folder to create an interesting background for my card. We have 2 super sponsors this week,  Bugaboo are offering one winner 7 images of their choice and My Mum's Craft Shop is giving away a £10 voucher! And if your stuck for ideas, look no further than the Cupcake blog, where the girls have come up with some great creations to inspire you!

Well, thanks for visiting!

I love Spring!

Spring has got to be my favourite time of the year! Green is one of my favourite colours, and I have to tell you with all this rain things are looking VERY green here at the moment! The weather is warming up too... can you believe I even got sunburnt yesterday (it's true)!

Inspired by the warm weather I did this quick little card... the papers are actually Christmas ones but I thought they were nice and bright (even if there are a few snowflakes on the green paper). The blue is obviously the bright blue sky we have (...ahem... in between the black clouds that is)!

So what are you all up to this weekend? I will endeavour to continue with the gardening I started yesterday... oh I just love weeding (NOT)! Why is it that weeds grow twice as fast as plants?

Thanks for popping by,
Shelly x

Did Someone Say It's Spring?

Good morning! Is it a lovely Spring day where you are? Here the weather is pretty erratic... heavy showers one minute, then sunshine the next! Remind me to take an umbrella with me when I go out... I got soaked last night!

Ok, so it's time for another challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenge and this fortnight we'd like to see your Spring creations! How simple is that!? I've gone all out with fresh greens and pastel pinks on my card... although I should have just put loads of dandylions on it as that's about all I've got in my garden at the minute! I've used the sweet 'Daisy Deer' image from Di's Digi Downloads, isn't this little fawn the cutest ever!

We have a fabulous sponsor for this challenge, There She Goes is offering a generous $25 voucher for their online store, and they have the most adorable clear stamp sets! For more information and to be inspired by the other lovely DT creations, drop by Digi Designs Challenge Blog!

Well for all those who are off work this weekend... have a lovely Bank Holiday break! Thanks for popping by!
