Easter Chick

Just a little hello from me today... I've got this Easter card to share with you ;)

I have some old papers etc in my stash which have been collecting dust for years... and this cute Penny Black stamp (Easter Goddess) is one of my first so I've decided to use up a bit of old stash.

Une Belle Journée

Une belle journée... a beautiful day!

Today hubby is off work... a rare occassion on a Saturday, so I'll be able to spend some time with him. I think a little bit of gardening is on the cards... I bought some lovely violas which are waiting patiently to be planted out :)

Today is also the start of a new challenge over at Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog... and the theme is EMBOSSING. For my card I've used a really cute digi stamp from Di's Digi Downloads. I have to say I'm quite pleased (makes a change) with this card... I just love the vibrant colours. We are sponsored by Joanna Sheen who is offering a £10 Gift Voucher to the lucky winner... and there's loads of lovely things to spend it on, and free P&P!

Well, off to get my gardening gloves on... my little flowers are waiting :)

Two Little Bunnies

Good morning! It's a really beautiful, bright Spring morning here, I hope you're having nice weather wherever you are :)

I just wanted to share this little bunny card I made with the free Indigo Blu stamp from Craft Stamper magazine (April issue)... not my usual card by any means but I thought I'd experiment. The background to the bunny image was done using a Fiskars clear stamp, I used several colours of chalk inks on the stamp. A bit of Distress Ink to shade around the edge, and the bunnies stamped in Versafine Onyx Black. I've kept the embellishments to a minimum... I think that the bow is enough really. Oh yeah... swirls are done on Cuttlebug.

So that's my little experiment for the week... and not a marker in sight!

Going Round in Circles

Hiya peeps. Firstly I just want to say sorry for not being around too much lately, I haven't been blogging either so have missed all the lovely creations you've all made. I just have lots of "stuff" going on at the moment and haven't been able to craft or get on the computer. I hope you forgive me, and that soon I'll be able to get back to my crafting and blogging as I miss visiting you all!

Well it's Cupcake Day again... that is Cupcake Craft Challenge of course! This week it's the delicieuse Delphine who has chosen GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES as the theme... so circle cards it is! I have used some of my new stash which finally arrived yipee! as I just couldn't wait to colour these cute kitties! I also got a few Memory Box dies... first ones I've bought and have to say they cut perfectly in my Cuttlebug! I was so please with the quality, I shall have to buy one or two more! Pretty Kitty in Pastels

I am finally starting to believe that Spring is on it's way! Yesterday it was 18°c... wow that's a real change as the weather has been pretty cold recently! I still had to scrape my car this morning though, it was a clear sky last night. Everything just seems so much better with a bit of sunshine!

Ok, we have a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenge, and this fortnight the theme is pastels. Just the thing to get all your pretty pastel papers out! Little Birdie

Hello! Well my last post was a little on the glum side, so I thought I'd do another card with some of my fave things to see if it gave me the kick up the backside I need?! Well it sort of did... although I'm still waiting for my new stash to arrive... hurry up Mr Postman! Thanks for all your lovely comments on my last card, even if I wasn't happy with it.

My first stamp ever was from Penny Black, and I still love these stamps. So I chose one I haven't used much for my card... and the papers are probably some of my favourites (and they were a freebie from a magazine). I have been inspired by Domi's card at Penny Black Saturday Challenge (shape/colours). It definately helps to look around the net when we have a creative block. I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Red & Yellow & A Bit Blue

Hello hello! Well I have to admit I have been quiet on the blogging and crafting front recently, I've had a lot going on and just haven't had the energy or desire to make anything. I want to create something but then when I get into my craftroom I just sit at my desk and stare into space. So, I decided to tidy out my craftroom and get rid of lots of stuff that was cluttering the place up. It's amazing what I hoard! I've also just been on the net and ordered myself a few new crafty things, hopefully to cheer me up and kick start my creative energy - I am severly lacking in energy of any kind at the moment.

Anyway, I have made my DT card for the Cupcake Craft Challenge this week, which I am not really happy with. It's not the challenge I have a problem with, which is fabulous... Donna has chosen RED & YELLOW this week... it's just I struggled to find any papers etc I like. I just wasn't inspired by my stash, even though I have hoards of stuff. I think it's high time I saw a bit of Spring sunshine... or someone just whack me over the head?!
