Cooking Up a Storm at Cupcake

Hello hello hello! Wow isn't it HOT!? Today it's been almost 40°c... I was definately COOKING I can tell you! Speaking of cooking, our theme this week at Cupcake Craft Challenge is COOKING UP A STORM, chosen by the lovely Louise! So anything with a cooking connection on your cards/projects this week please!

I've gone for this cute Lili of the Valley image for my card... coloured with Promarkers. Doesn't her cake look super yummy!? Unfortunately I won't be having any as I'm trying to shed a few pounds!

Aperture Challenge at A Scrap Affair

Hi! Just to say that there's a new challenge over at A Scrap Affair Blog! This time we'd like to see APERTURES on your cards! I have to admit it's not a technique I use often, but I enjoyed making this card all the same. The image is a new L'escargot stamp soon to be available from the online shop A Scrap Affair, which I coloured with Promarkers. The little shells at the bottom were hand drawn, and the border was done using my Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page punches. There's a super prize up for grabs so why not have a go at making your own aperture card!?

Birthday Balloons

Hi again, this is my second post today (my Cupcake DT card is below)! Wow a record for me at the minute, my blogging recently has had to make way for real life lol! Anyway, just wanted to share this little card with you all, I've had this little Puddle Jumpers digi for a while but haven't gotten round to colouring her until now! The occassion being for my friend's little girl's 2nd birthday this week, only problem is I'll have to do another card as she has twins! Oh well, any excuse for crafting! Image is coloured with Promarkers & papers are Papermania Daisy & Dandelion. Flowers punched using my Nellie Snellen flower punches. I'm entering this card for the following challenges:

We're going all masculine this week at Cupcake Craft Challenges, seeing as Father's Day is on Sunday 19th June! So the theme chosen by Fluffie Faye is 'Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy'... so we'd like to see your creations for Dad's, Men, Boys... you get the idea!

My card is for a friend's Birthday, but it could equally be for my Dad as he really is a Top Bloke! Anyway, the whole card is done using a Creative Cottage digi download 'Daddy Bear... lets fix it', which is sadly no longer available (sob)! All I added was the twine, charm, star brads and little sentiment (Papermania). I'm entering this card for the following challenges:

A Tail or Two...

I'm late, still trying to catch my tail...soooooooo Things with Tails is this week's theme chosen by the fabulous Donna at Cupcake Craft Challenges... I've gone for two tails (although you can't actually see them) on my card! The cute image is one I've had for a long time from Di's Digi Downloads (I believe this is no longer available which is a shame). It's coloured with Promarkers, I do love how these are so easy to match up to my papers, which incidentally are from Stampin' Up. The little flowers are punched using my Nellie Snellen punches. The Creative Cottage - Closing Down Sale

It's with a very heavy heart that I write this post today. My very good friend Tracy, who owns and runs The Creative Cottage has had to come to a very difficult to decision, to close down The Creative Cottage. Tracy asked me to be part of The Creative Cottage Design Team from the beginning, and I was so honoured and proud. Tracy has put so much effort into The Creative Cottage, but sadly things have changed and she is now closing the business.
