Cupcake Craft Challenge 110 Pink & Brown

Good morning peeps! Well, that's the weekend gone again... where does the time go to? I find that the weeks are just flying by, soon it'll be Christmas and I haven't even started doing my cards... erm I'd better get a move on!

Today we have a colour challenge for you at Cupcake Craft Challenge, our fabulous Faye has chosen Pink & Brown in honour of our super challenge blog! So we'd like to see your lovely Cupcake coloured creations... so long as they're pink & brown ;) For my little card I went for a Magnolia stamp, I don't use these that often now so thought Tilda deserved a day out of her box! She's coloured with Promarkers. The papers, ribbon & sentiment are all Papermania (more stash that never sees the light of day). The flowers are handmade using circle punches. Finally a few pearls finish the look. I'd like to enter my card for a few challenges, here goes:

A Spoon Full Of Sugar 'Anything Goes'
Passion For Promarkers 'Make Your Own Flowers'
By The Cute & Girly 'Indian Summer'
Charisma Cardz 'Anything Goes'

Pop over to Cupcake Craft Challenge blog to see the fabulous cards that the DT girls have made, each one very different! Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Stamps, so well work a shot at winning! Thanks for popping by my blog today!

Cupcake Craft Challenge 105... Blue & Green

Good morning peeps! Last week at Cupcake we celebrated our 2nd Birthday... there were some stunning creations from you, thanks for participating! Don't forget to check on the Cupcake blog to see if you've won one of the fab prizes! And if you're wondering who won my little blog candy, please check out the post below!

Ok, this week at Cupcake it was my turn to chose the challenge theme... I've gone with a colour combo, and I've chosen BLUE & GREEN... I just love these colours! So much so that I've made TWO DT cards for the challenge, here they are...

The 1st card is of course the lovely Tilda from Magnolia... it's been ages since I did a 'Tilda' card! I've used my distress inks around the edge of the background paper... I can't tell you how green my fingers were (not the gardening type lol)! I'm entering this into the Fab n Funky 'Flower Power' challenge and as it's mainly blue I'm entering it for the ABC Challenge, Passion For Promarkers Challenge where you have to use BLUE and the Just Magnolia Challenge 'Let's Get Sentimental'... to use a sentiment on your card. My second card is using this little digi frog from Pollycraft... isn't he just so so cute!? He's a french frog, but you knew that as he has a blue & white stripy jumper lol! I'm entering him into the Stamp Something Digi Day Challenge & Totally Papercrafts 'Summer Fun' challenge. The sentiments that I've used on both of my cards are from our weekly sponsor this week, The Cutting Café, the DT were kindly given these sets to use on our cards. If you join in with our challenge you too could win some fab prizes from The Cutting Café, and from Crafts U Love who are our monthly sponsor!

Now as if that's not enough, we also have a 1000 Followers Candy over at Cupcake up for grabs... and we're not far off that target so check out the candy details HERE! Good Luck!

My First Criss Cross Pocket Card

Hello peeps! It's been a while since I did a Magnolia card and so thought I'd join in with the challenge over at Just Magnolia, which is to make a Criss Cross Pocket Card, there's a fab tutorial on how to make it here. I followed the tutorial as this is the first card of this sort I've made. I have to admit it took a little while to make getting measurements right (I didn't do exactly the same size as on the tutorial) but I am pleased with the end result ;)

I've coloured Tilda with Promarkers, The sentiment is a Rachelle Anne Miller one from Stampavie, papers are from Papermania, flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, pearls are from Quixotic and finally the lace and ribbon are from my stash.

Well that's all for today, hope you're enjoying the sunshine!

Cupcake Craft Challenge #89 - All The 3's

Good morning blogging friends! For those of you living in the UK, I hope you're having a relaxing Bank Holiday weekend (I'm so so jealous cos we don't have Bank Hol Mon here in France)! That's something that I really miss about home :( I used to love having a long weekend!

Anyway, as it's Monday, then it's time for the Cupcake Craft Challenge and this week the challenge has been set by the talented Kathrin who has chosen 'All the 3's' as the theme. We'd like to see cards or projects with 3 flowers, 3 papers and 3 ribbons. I really enjoyed this challenge and went to town with the pastels this week, not to mention my little Tilda who was feeling rather neglected of late! I've used Michele's sketch over at Passion for Promarkers and made my own flowers using my Woodware Daisy Punches and brads as centres. Tilda is of course coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from my stash... these were the very first papers I bought! The sentiment is from a Studio G set, I thought it went well with the image. To be honest this little character kinda reminds me of myself when I was younger... bit of a tomboy but I loved to skip! I'm also entering my card in the Cute Card Thursday challenge which is 'make your own'... in my case flowers.

The challenge this week is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp, one lucky random winner will receive a $20 gift voucher plus free shipping! There's some scrummy things in their shop so you won't have any trouble spending this!

Check out the other DT cards for inspiration, as always the girls have come up trumps!

A Little Box

Hello... my mojo is slowly returning, although it's taking me every effort to craft at the moment. I wanted to make something for my mam, I'll be seeing her shortly and wanted to give her something handmade... so I've made her this little box...

The box is 6x6 inches which I will be filling with handmade cards. I got the box idea from the Magnolia Ink Magazine (2nd issue), there's a really easy step by step tutorial by Kim to follow, so I thought I'd have a go. I've followed the sketch over at Just Magnolia challenge. Here is a close up of the image I've used, I've coloured Tilda with Promarkers...

I also wanted to put some pretty flowers on the box to fit in with the sketch, and also some lace around the edge. I've added glitter to the flowers... I bought this glitter AGES ago... it's Craft Planet Glitter Glue 'iridescent sparkle' and it just lasts forever! The little flowers were really cheap, 99p I think for a pack.

The card I used to make the box is Papermania 12x12 textured card, the paper is Papermania Regency A4 pack (distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Inks) , the swirl stamp is Inkadinkado and the sentiment is from Paper Make Up stamps. Finally I've added some raffia, velvet ribbon and a few pearls.
I shall also enter this in the Colour Create challenge 'Your choice of Pastels', Simon Says Stamp challenge 'It's so distressing' and the Passion For Promarkers challenge 'Use two images' - Tilda and the swirls.

Thanks so much for popping by today, have a lovely weekend and a Happy Easter!

Cupcake Craft Challenge #76 - Four Legged & Furry

Hello! It's Monday and time for another Cupcake Craft Challenge! This week it was my turn to choose the theme for our challenge and as an animal lover I thought it might be fun to create something starring our furry little friends! So this week the theme is "FOUR LEGGED & FURRY" ... my little friend Réglisse who "crafts" with me influenced my choice of image for my DT card... so it just happens to be a cat...

I've had this Magnolia image for a little while now, and have never used it, so I thought it'd be a shame to keep it hidden away. Here's the detail of what I used to create my card...

Stamp - Tilda with Cat (Magnolia)
Ink to stamp image - Memento Tuxedo Black
Colouring - Promarkers and Distress Ink (Old Paper)
Sentiment stamp - Penny Black
Papers - Regency A4 Pack (Papermania Signature)
Heart - Sizzix Sizzlets Die
Pearls - Bunny Zoe's Crafts
Lace, Flower from stash

I'm entering this card into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge as the theme is "Someone Special"... I just love this Penny Black sentiment stamp! I'm also entering my card into the Totally Papercrafts Challenge - the theme for their first challenge is "Friends"... perfect! Finally, the theme at Just Magnolia is "Hearts & Flowers" so will have a go at that one too!

I hope you can join in with this week's challenge, so if you can make something with a little furry friend on it then why not have a go, there's a $20 gift voucher plus free shipping from Simon Says Stamp up for grabs for one lucky winner! Plus don't forget our a place in Top 5! I can't wait to see what furry little lovelies you'll come up with!

Busy Busy Busy!

Well I've even surprised myself this weekend with the amount of cards I've managed to get done! I think it's because I know I'm soon due to go back to work so all time is precious! I've completely thrown myself into the crafting over the last few days, I only hope this won't be the last time I'll have a chance for a while! I've had a right good play with my Pro Markers! And as I haven't entered many challenges lately, I've tried to cram a few of those in too...

Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge - 3D

Ok the first of my cards is for the Just Magnolia Challenge, this month it's to do a 3D card. I've gone with this image as it reminds me of summer (we have lots of sunflower fields here during the summer) and I'm hanging onto summer for dear life! I have to say I love the effect 3D gives, but despite being a patient person I just couldn't do lots of 3D cards as the cutting out would drive me up the wall. I hold my hat off to those people who make lots of these gorgeous creations (Debby4000 springs to mind, she's a real expert). This next pic shows Tilda in all her 3D glory...

The Sugar Bowl Challenge - Judy's Sketch

The next card is for The Sugar Bowl Challenge, it's a fab sketch by Judy. I've turned the sketch on it's side to accomodate my image, hope this is ok. The stamp is of course a Sugar Nellie, from Funky Kits. I've had it a little while now but alas had never inked it up - shame! So, as I'm a sucker for cute kitties I just had to use this one. The papers are Basic Grey Boxer (I think), the sentiment is from Clare Curd Clear Sentiments. An extra requirement on this challenge was to use hand made flowers, so I've tried my hand at that and actually quite like the effect...

A Spoon Full Of Sugar - Travel

My final card for the day is for A Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge, Travel is the theme. I made it for my BIL who is moving house, it's a Stampin' Up image (RAK from Vicki - thanks hun). I've kept this really plain and simple, hope he likes it...

Well, that's all for now on the card front, but I have one or two in mind for this week to do so I'll be back soon! Take care and thanks for popping by!

Just Magnolia & Cute Card Thursday

Morning everyone! Well what a miserable week it's been weatherwise! The rain came on Sunday, and it's never stopped since! Oh well, I'll look on the bright side, at least my garden is getting a good watering!

I've made one little card for two challenges this week, using the lovely sketch by Rach over at the Just Magnolia challenge, and the theme this week at Cute Card Thursday which is "Nip & Punch" where we have to use dies and punches...

I've had to take the piccy indoors due to the rain, so the colours don't look as lovely as they actually are. Anyway here's what I used:

* Tilda with Rose Bouquet (Magnolia)
* Promarkers
* Nestabilities (Circle & Scalloped Circle)
* SU Scalloped Circle Punch
* Sissix Die (Ornate Corner)
* Perfect Paisley Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug)
* Ribbon, flowers and paper from stash
* Sentiment (RAK from Lyndsey, one of here own lovely designs)

Off to work now, see you later in the week!

Just a quick hello!

Just wanted to say a quick hello as I have to get cracking on my first DT card for the Stamp Something Challenge lol! I've had a few problems with this weeks theme but it seems sorted now so I'm eager to get started (I'll reveal more tomorrow).

I'm flying in by the skin of my teeth again for the Just Magnolia Challenge, this week the theme is "Animals and Insects"...

Thanks ever so much for all your lovely comments, I'll try to get round to do a bit of blog hopping tomorrow!

Magnolia Mother's Day

In France, Mother's Day is in June this year, so for my MIL's card I decided to use the lovely sketch by Naoual from the Just Magnolia challenge blog...

I have added glitter to her wings and around the hearts, and gold in her hair although it's difficult to see from the photo...

Tilda is stamped in Versafine and coloured using Distress Inks. The paper (which we can see very little of) is from a K & Co pad and has "Mother" written on it in different ways. The sentiment stamp is from Artemio and reads "from the bottom of the heart". All other embellishments are from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

In your thoughts

Good morning and hello to all my blogging friends! I have two cards to share with you today, both with a "Thinking of You" theme. The first one is for this week's Just Magnolia challenge "In Stitches" where you have to include stitching, faux or real on your card...

The stitching around the edge is real and took ages to do, and Tilda also has some stitching on her dress. You can see better here...

I've also tried my hand at decorating the inside of the card, not sure about this one, but there is some stitching (faux) on the square message panel and also on the cherries, although it's hard to see from the pic...

Tilda has been watercoloured with brush markers, papers are Doodlebug, sentiment is Penny Black and charms etc are from The Hobby House.

My second card today is also a thinking of you card, although less cheerful. It's for my friend who has recently lost a relative. I'm not good at sympathy cards, but thought this would be ok...

Tilda is coloured with w/c paints, sentiment is Cuddly Buddly, papers are Basic Grey Sugared and ribbon is Doodlebug.

Well, no sunshine here today, hope Mr Sun comes back for the weekend as I've got the full weekend free, no WORK! I'm hoping to get lots of crafting done, and also prepare my blog candy.

Thanks ever so much for popping by, I know how time is scarce so I really appreciate it all your nice comments!

Just Magnolia & Penny Black Challenges

Hi everyone! Just a quick post tonight as off to bed, promise I won't go on! Just thought I'd better post my card for the Just Magnolia Challenge, a fab sketch from Bev this week! As usual at the moment, it's last minute for me yet again...

I must apologise for the awful photo, but I have to blame the camera and rubbish lighting...nothing to do with me of course! Tilda is coloured with Distress Inks, papers are Papermania Creative Tones Venetian Skies, buttons are from my hubby's shirt (well it was getting thrown out so I couldn't waste the buttons), wool from stash. I shall put a sentiment on it at a later date.

The second card is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge, where you have to use 3 shapes on your card. Well I think I have safely covered that what with the Nesties, die-cuts, buttons etc...

Image is of course Penny Black, paper is DCWV, die-cuts are Sissix, sentiment Cuddly Buddly, rest is from stash.

Hope to get time to do a bit of blog hopping soon! Almost the weekend, hope you have a great one.

Back from me hols!

Hello all! Well it's back to reality for me, I got back Monday and haven't stopped washing and cleaning since! I had a great time in the UK, we visited Sussex and Kent and did some sightseeing, shopping, lots of eating and drinking, and I even managed to make a stop at the Glitter Pot and get a few goodies (some are destined for my up and coming blog candy). I haven't had a chance to use my new stuff yet apart from some Sizzix dies I got (one of them I used on my card for this week's Just Magnolia Challenge). Hopefully I'll get a chance to do a bit of crafting today!

This is my card for the Just Magnolia Challenge which is "Pink and Green", it's for my cousin and his wife who've just had a baby girl. Get this - my cousin's wife went to the loo, started her contractions and thought there was something wrong, she called my cousin who came and realised the baby was on it's way, so he rang the paramedics as he could see the baby's head. By the time they arrived, baby Heidi was born (delivered by my cousin at home). The paramedics took mum and baby to get checked over in hospital. All was fine and they were sent straight back home! Not bad going eh!

Well I've missed having a look at all your lovely creations so off to do a bit blog hopping! Toodle pip!

Just Magnolia

This is the last posting I'll make until next week as I'm off on my hols tomorrow - yipee! I'm going to go and pack my case, the job that always takes me an age to do! I never know what to pack, and end up going round in circles lol! Well, if I forget something I'll just have to buy a replacement, shame!

This is the card I've made for the new challenge blog Just Magnolia, as I have lots of these stamps which seem to have been neglected recently with the purchase of new stamps (my hubby has become my buyer for stamps, I think he has a secret addiction to buying on the internet lol). This week the challenge is a fab sketch, and as it's the first week of the challenge there is a super prize on offer. If you haven't been already, pop over and check it out!

I've used Tilda wearing dungarees, coloured with Whispers markers. The papers are from Daisy & Dandelion "Pumpkin Patch". Sentiment is Cuddly Buddly, rest is from stash.

Well off now to do the mammoth task of packing my case! Wish me luck!

Thank You Very Much!

Firstly I'd like to thank everyone who has left such lovely comments on my blog regarding my recent loss. It's heart warming to know I have some lovely blogging friends out there in cyber space! I've decided to make a memory book (idea from my friend Shannon, thanks hun) with all the beautiful photos I have of Pepsi. It's a bit too soon just yet, I'll wait a few weeks before I start collecting my photos together.

Secondly, I have just made the worst chocolate cake ever! I'm usually ok with baking, I don't do much but when I do things tend to turn out ok. But for some reason unknown to man (or woman) my choccy cake looks like a frisbee! I wanted to surprise my hubby when he came in tonight, shock will be more his reaction when he sees the "cake"! Never mind, it's the thought that counts. And yes, I did use self raising flour!

Thirdly, I promise I'm nearly at the end now lol! I've made a card for my MIL whose "Fête" it is tomorrow (Saint Huguette). I've combined two challenges, this week's Cute Card Thursday Challenge which is to make a card for someone in your family, and I've used the fab sketch from Friday Sketchers...

I used:

-Tilda in Cherry Dress image coloured with Distress Inks
-Sentiment stamp by Artemio
-Papers are Papermania Creative Tones
-Bazzil card run through Nesties Circles & Swiss Dots folder on Cuttlebug
-Flower is Papermania
-Ribbon etc from stash

The photo isn't great as my camera is on the blink so have used a different one, also the sun was shining through the window (it's lovely to see the sun). I think my MIL will appreciate it though.

Lastly I'd like to thank Tracy for passing on this fab award to me, thanks so much for thinking of me hun! If you don't know Tracy's blog (where have you been hiding), pop over and say hi to her, she will be so pleased you popped by! Plus congratulations Tracy on your blog's first birthday! Now I have to pass this on so I'd like to pass it onto all the lovely blogging friends who've left kind comments recently, I really do appreciate your support! Thank you all so very much!

Well, better go and see if I can rescue something out of my flying saucer... ooops... I mean cake lol!!!

Mother's Day

Do you ever get one of those days when you've just finished work and all you want to do is put your feet up but unfortunately there's a pile of washing, ironing, not to mention an inch thick layer of dust to clean (I'm exaggerating a bit with the dust, there's only half an inch lol)!!! Well that's me today! So before I get started on the dreaded inevitable I thought I'd share this little card with you all. It's for my mam, for Mother's Day on Sunday (I really hope you don't look at my blog mam or you'll see this before time). The card is for the Magnolia Vs Stampavie challenge which is "Mother's Day"...

I used DCWV papers, Tilda is coloured with brush markers, the sentiment stamp is from Penny Black. I did the lace border using my Fiskars punch, and the rest is from my stash. I love the pink and green together, this colour scheme came from the paper, it's just lovely for spring, reminds me of pink tulips with their green foliage! I've also put a special verse inside for my mam, hope she likes it!

Special Treasures!

Everything in my craftroom is a special treasure to me, but my favs are my stamps (of course), ribbons, buttons and flowers (I love it all really). So I used all four on this card which is for the Magnolia vs Stampavie Challenge this week. You have to use the following colours...

I used my "Tilda with heart cookies" stamp from Magnolia, coloured again with Distress Inks. The sentiment is a stamp called "...special treasures" from Penny Black. The papers are from the Nostalgia Collection from Papermania, and I used blue Bazzil card. The swirls are stamped using Inkadinkadoo clear stamps, and the rest of the "treasures" are from my stash! Inside the card I stamped a little verse, one which I bought from Elzybells, and added a little flower and button to finish it off.

Well, off to make me something yummy to eat, just got back from work so I'm starving! Hope you all have a great Friday night (in or out)!
