Cool Christmas

Good morning! Did you all remember to put your clocks back an hour last night or did you get up this morning and wonder why you were the only person in the land of the living?
I've made a card this morning with the extra hour, just for fun :) I had this cute Heather Ellis image printed out and saw the challenge 'Cold Christmas - Blues and Purples' at the Graph'It Marker Blog so thought I'd have a go...
I've coloured with Promarkers... and added my doodles as usual! Hope you all have a lovely Sunday! Thanks for popping by today xx

Sew Mad at Cupcake!

Hi peeps! Well I'm back from me jolies, I had a fabby time in Scotland and the weather was lovely! But the mosquitoes were a real pain in the derriere!!! Have to say, I did miss my crafting though!

This week at Cupcake Jane has chosen 'Sew Mad' for our challenge theme, so we'd like to see stitching on your cards... real or faux! I've gone for the easy option and used some paper with pretend stitches!!! The little image is a Heather Ellis, so cute, coloured with Promarkers! It's a very C&S card from me this week!

Our sponsor this week is Paper Pretties, who are giving away a super cute stamp. Don't forget we have 3 monthly sponsors, Crafts U Love, Mo's Digital Pencil and Sew Sweet, check it out at the Cupcake blog HERE! Also the other DT girls have done some fab projects for you to take a peek at!

Worms & Cupcakes

Good morning! I've come on the computer for a bit of peace and quiet this morning, there's a lot of banging going on in my house today! In my living room I have a lovely solid oak parquet floor (which is about 100 years old), unfortunately it's being eaten by woodworm! Ouch! The little buggers have been making holes in my floor and although it pains me to have the floor lifted, it has to be done to see what damage there is underneath! The carpenter says "ce n'est pas méchant" (meaning it's not nasty) but it has to be seen to to stop it going any further! So hence the banging... it's the man pulling up my lovely floor (sob)! I'd better get a cup of tea and a cupcake...

Yep, Cupcake Craft Challenges to be precise (I'm watching my figure lol)... this week the talented Delphine has chosen 'BOOKWORM' as our theme (kind of symbolic for me... worms that is)! So we'd like to see projects with a book theme (image, bookmark etc). I've done a little bookmark using a Heather Ellis digi image (the little butterfly and plant pot are my own... I tried to draw them in a similar style inkeeping with the HE image). I've used Promarkers to colour this time. Finally I added some little flowers (Nellie Snellen punch & Card Candy). The paper is from an old Papermania pad. I'm entering my card in the following challenges:

ABC Challenge - Unusual Fold
By The Cute & Girly - Anything Goes

This week our sponsor is Crafty Emma's Store, who is giving away a £10 gift voucher to one lucky winner, and our Monthly Icing on the Cupcake Sponsor is Crafts U Love, who are offering a £15 gift voucher to our monthly winner.

Well, I'd better go and check what damage there is! And make that cup of tea!

Cupcake Craft Challenge 129 - I {heart} you

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello to all you craft lovers out there! Well, did you get any mushy Valentine's cards? Any marriage proposals? Well whatever, have a Happy Valetine's Day!

Ok, today at Cupcake Craft Challenge it's my turn to choose our theme so to tie in with Valentine's Day I've chosen I {heart} you for this week's challenge, which basically means we want to see HEARTS on your crafty creations! I've made two DT cards for this challenge, I got carried away with the mushyness! My first card (above) is done using a lovely Heather Ellis digi image from the Pure Innocence collection, coloured with Promarkers. The paper is from Wild Rose Studio, and the cute sentiment stamp is from Taylored Expressions. I've added some heart embellishments to finish off!

Challenges I'm entering with my I {heart you} card:
Fab n Funky - Tempting Textures
Passion For Promarkers - Let There Be Love
Stamp Something - Something For Your Valentine

Now onto my second card (below)... as we're sponsored this week at Cupcake by Lori Designs I've made this card using this super cute Ella the Elephant digi, again coloured with Promarkers. The paper is K & Co, heart is from a Sizzix die and the sentiment reads 'Don't forget that I love you more than anything'... I thought it went well with the Elephant theme lol! I've also used some white netting (I'm liking this can you tell lol)... I think it looks sweet with the little charm?! There's a few hearts here again!

Challenges I'm entering with my 'Dont't Forget' card:
Stampin For The Weekend - St Valentine's Day
Creative Card Crew - For A Loved One
The Craft Pad - Hearts

This week you could win a $10 Gift Certificate to spend in the Lori Designs store, and don't forget the Icing on the Cupcake prize which this month is a fab £15 Gift Voucher from Crafts U Love! And not forgetting that you could be in our Top 5! Now the other Cupcakes have put their HEARTS (sorry couldn't resist) into making some super projects for you to feast your eyes on, please pop by and show them some love!

Well I hope you get to spend some quality time with the person you love today!

Cupcake Craft Challenge 126 - Food For Thought

Good morning all you lovely people out there in the big wide blogosphere! Are you feeling peckish? Well if you are don't panic as this week at Cupcake Craft Challenge we've got some 'Food For Thought'... well that's the title of our new challenge chosen by the very talented Donna! So get baking up a lovely card or project with a food theme and you could be in with a chance to win some rather yummy stash! We're sponsored this week by...
who designs the most adorable stamps and digis, and she's offering 3 fabulous digi stamps to one lucky winner! Not only that but we have our monthly Icing on the Cupcake sponsors too...
So lots of tasty stash to get your teeth into! We also have a special competition running this week called 'What's the Challenge? You Decide!' where we want YOU to challenge us... check out the details HERE! Oh and don't forget to have a look at the rest of the Design Team's fabulously yummy creations this week, and if you have time to leave us a comment please do, we love to here from you too!

The Design Team were kindly given some of Heather's fabulous designs to work with, and so I chose this rather sweet cupcake cutie, isn't she gorgeous!? I've coloured her with Promarkers and added some sparkle to her cupcake. I made the background paper using some free clear stamps from my Do Crafts Magazine, again coloured using my Promarkers. I have to admit, I rather like this cute homemade paper... I think I'll have to try this method again soon! As not to make the card too busy, I simply added the ribbon (recycled from a Xmas pressie) the sentiment and pearls et voila! I'm entering my card into the following challenges...
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Ribbons & Pearls
Stamp Something - Cute Somethings
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle - Anythings Goes
Thanks so much for popping by today... I'm off to have a needle stuck in my arm now (don't get any ideas... just a blood test... and I hate needles)... wish me luck!

Cupcake Craft Challenge 106 Let's Get Digital!

Good morning peeps! Firstly, for those in the UK... hope you enjoy the Bank Holiday (I am soooo jealous)! Secondly, thank you to everyone who joined in my chosen challenge theme last week at Cupcake Craft Challenge... wow you're such a talented bunch... I had real trouble picking my Top 5!!! Pop over to Cupcake to see if you've won a prize, don't forget to check the Cupcake Lovers Candy prize too!

Now, onto this week's challenge which has been chosen by our Victoria Jelly, who wants us all to 'Get Digital'! So that means digi images, sentiments, papers, embellishments... I have only managed the image as my printer was spluttering (urm maybe it was telling me it needed ink?). Anyway, here's my DT card...

The image is another Heather Ellis one (Pure Innocence range), I'm so glad I found these! I've coloured her with my Promarkers. I've used Basic Grey paper, so I will enter the Basic Grey Challenge who want to see fabric on your cards (my fabric is the white cotton in the middle of the card... I cut up my hubby's shirt... oops don't tell him!). I've also followed the recipe challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar (3 flowers, 2 buttons, 1 ribbon).

We've got some more yummy prizes this week from our lovely sponsors, so why not have a go at the challenge this week? The girls at Cupcake have come up trumps again with some gorgeous cards to help inspire you, why not pop by and say hi, we really do appreciate all your comments!

Well, that's enough from me, that's for your visit today, enjoy your day!

Little Cutie

Evening peeps! Just a quick hello tonight as Aunty Gok is on! Anyway, I got this little digi stamp today from Heather Ellis... isn't she a cutie!? And a real bargain, just 50p! WOW! I had to do a card with her, so have done one using the sketch at Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog (they're sponsored this week by Heather Ellis - that's where I saw her digis). She's coloured with Promarkers but the colours on the piccy are naff as I took it under artificial light. The papers are lovely and are from The Creative Cottage! I'm also entering my card in the Flutter by Wednesday challenge which is an open theme this week. Well, off to see me Aunty Gok now! Thanks for popping by!
